I totally love this idea and the potential of this series⛳!!! But i think getting to much money will kill it from the start... (not that you deserve it though haha😉 ) Like 95% of the ppl who start with golf get a +-300 pounds package set, spend 100 to 200 on gear/shoes/clothes and go to a public golfcoarse/par 3 coarse with a 15-20 pound greenfee and start playing. Personally i like to see you going from there instead of starting with 1000+ pounds with AAA brand clubs and a ''fancy'' coarse to play. Slowly building from the bottom up that better reflects the average player with ''challenges'' that give you more money to spend. Don't know if thats realistic or if i'm the only one who would like to see that.... 😅 But looking foreward to the series none the less!!! ⛳

Hello Peter, I’m currently going through the same thing. I moved from Fort Worth, Texas to Budapest Hungary. I didn’t bring any of my golf clubs and I have had to shop online and all of my bag has came from your neck of the woods, the U.K. So far I have 12 clubs and I have spent $1100. USD. Shipping and custom charges to Budapest as you would say are a bloody nightmare. Golf in Budapest as a industry is vey small and there are not very many courses but I have found two courses that you can get memberships and play unlimited golf on 9 hole courses for a $1000 USD per year which isn’t bad. Hopefully in the next year I can make it to your side of Europe to experience that for the first time.

Great idea Peter. For golf membership come to New Zealand. Lincoln club, adjacent to Christchurch, is $490 full membership. This is equivalent to about 230 .pounds. No booking. Just roll up an play. No clothing restrictions. Very friendly club. Cheers tony

I love the concept or idea of this video. I would so much rather watch how to get the most bang for your buck. Meaning how can I get a fitting for everything on a tiny budget. Locally I can get a full bag fitting and buy the equipment. That fitting with equipment would be in the neighborhood of $5k USD. As a better player the more expensive options would be on the table for fitting. So my point is how can I reduce that. How can someone get a proper fitting buy the equipment and not break the bank.

I’m 54, started golf at 25 with an XPC set of LH clubs made for me by my Father who started playing golf at 60 after he retired. He made clubs for many of his colleagues. I did not have much money but still played with what I could afford. Great idea for a series. I hope you get plenty of money and people should be ok with it.

The golf course where I'm a member is a challenging 7,150 yd par 72. It's difficult to break par! I pay $130 a month for membership and so would you. It's $350 for unlimited range balls for the year also. Unfortunately, the golf course is in North Carolina, USA. However, if you consider that you can come over on a 3-month visitor visa to play and practice, that's not a bad investment for you and your subscribers. There are also one or two professional golf tours you can play here or in the southeastern USA from Sept - March. Oh! I'm available to caddy. But only if you want a top-notch bagger!

Interesting challenge. I think the most interesting part will be the club membership part, as a lot of clubs now are getting creative with models that don't follow the traditional 5 day/7 day membership idea. One club I joined years ago had a points system, so your 300 quid or whatever got you so many points, and midweek rounds cost fewer points than weekends, and you could top up later in the year if you started running out. That was rare then, but a lot more common now.

Yeah I had this membership last year and it worked well because we played mostly evenings. It was a 3rd of the price of full membership and you got all the benefits of a full member. The only exception was you couldn't enter the board competitions. The midweek stabledford comps etc you could still enter. I'm tempted to do it again next year as the full membership iv got this year isn't really paying for itself

I have been catching up with you content since I've been (can't say the L word) up with a shoulder operation.... during this time I've been addicted to eBay, golf bidder and the likes looking to get a set together for once I'm recovered and hopefully playing regularly next spring....I've already got a driver... definitely in the for show bracket a Nike vapor speed volt edition...I really wanna try one length irons as I hit my 7-8 irons really well but the 3 wood decision is a struggle....I find lots of information on the internet slightly biased towards the big brands without any real reasoning??? It's kinda like "it's my KZbin channel and I get wads of cash from xyz" Really looking forward to where this series goes!! Got 2 more weeks before going back to work so if you wouldn't mind putting out around 100hrs of content that should see me through! PS.....I can't believe Michael Phelps beat you!!😮
