Wan Yihwa and her family fled to Korea after fearing for their life in Myanmar. Because her mother can't speak Korean, Yihwa is basically acting as her two little brothers' mom, even though she's only 12 years old. Find out about their life in the video.

I teared up when the younger brother said that he would like to go on that scary ride next year with his mum, and when mum promised the kids that they will come back to that theme park again as a family. Now she's gone and my heart just goes out to the family.

Yihwa is s lovely for willingly helping her mum with Korean. Also, i think it’s ridiculous to make someone work 12 hours in a hospitality job. The only time that is necessary is in the medical field. I feel like because they know she can’t speak Korean well and is just trying to make a living for her family they’re just using her. I wish the family all the best! Edit: just found out her mum passed away recently so sending prayers to the family!!!

Working 12 hours a day should be Illegal unless the person themselves what to work 12 hours a day.

Uh no, you can't make a person work 12 hours a day in a restaurant. It's unethical and it's going to affect her health that way too. On top of that, she has to manage sleep and time with her kids?! No way! I would understand if it was the police station or the hospital, but you can't do this in fast food without thinking of your employees' situations and health. I would know. My boss tried to make me work all types of hours and got upset when I quit. If I don't see my boss working those types of hours, why should I? Not everyone is a pushover just because you have your little title.

my parents worked 10 hrs 6 days a week when we first came to America. it's about putting food on the table. You are lucky/privilege to not have parents working that long hours.

@@bobbob-vw4cc it's normal in America. i would agree. I lived in Uganda and China. 12 hours is normal. We are even expected to consider our work even outside those 12 hours 7 days a week.
