Restaurant tableware commission: here's how I do it

To celebrate Edit's first birthday, this is my process of making plates for them.
Maybe you have been commissioned to make ceramics for a restaurant or cafe too, or you might have been approached by a store to make pieces for them to sell. It can be a little scary, but it's good fun.

Can you tell the difference in durability of cone 6 versus cone 10 stoneware. what cone level do you fire your functional ware?

If you use the right clay and the right glaze, they have the same durability. The main probably comes when you use a clay body that should be fired to cone 10 and fire it to cone 6 instead
