Just started this on my brand spanking new Classic 350. :) Pannier racks and a rear rack appeared from nowhere (teehee) Think I might mod the engine sprocket to make it even lazier. We will see. I have to keep the pillion. My partner would never forgive me if I left her out completely but I can enjoy solo running while it's new, and to be honest, bloomin cold still. Thank you so much, I cannot believe you redid everything for the camera (us really). You are a star. :)

that clear mini screen you discarded... you can actually take the bracket off... very carefully drill 4 holes in it... and zip tie it onto the original mirrors and bars/light bracket... and adjust the angle so the wind is off your chest and doesnt buffet your crash lid when riding...you can get it mounted like this pretty securely...also if it topples over the screen doesnt break...once yav been behind a few lorries in the rain you wont be too bothered about the looks of it..... also..those crash bars.. in winter you can cut suitable plastic to shape(estate agent advertising boards) and zip tie those protecting your feet from the elements... (im giving away my bike courier secrets here) but the feet stay dry and warm you wont ever want to remove them..

A point to note about the touring seat is that it is slightly lower than standard and that lumbar support prevents the rider moving all the way back as can be done on the stock seat. The result is taller riders (I am 6'5") are pushed forward and down so it feels rather cramped. A better solution for some taller riders, including myself, would be a flat riders seat same height as standard running back to a wider foam fronted pillion seat...foam fronted to prevent uncomfortable interface between rider's back and pillion seat
@restdayrider2 жыл бұрын
Good tip Paul. As I'm 5'6 the tourer is perfect for me, but helpful to note it has implications for taller folk. Thank you.

I'm 5'11" and found the touring seat really pushed me towards the tank. Felt very cramped up. Further more it really dug into my coccyx. The stock seat felt like a rolls Royce over the touring seat...

I have a short fly screen type thing on my 2021 Benelli Imperiale 400. The Meteor has a similar screen, as you say. A very worthwhile investment. Your own bike looks like a perfect light tourer to me! 👌

Hi Charlie - really enjoying your vids! I need to point out that during the seat replacement segment, you did not move the metal grommits from the old seat to the new... Really great work here. One little hint, try and keep a stock of flat nylon washers, in various sizes and add where appropriate where a bolt tightens against painted/powder coated metal. This will not only prevent the bolt from damaging the paint etc. when tightening down (preventing rust and damage to the finish), but also helps prevent any vibration from working loose the bolt 😊
