This video is so spot-on and perfectly timed! Recently, life has become "extremely" busy, distracting, regularly disrupting my daily practice of French acquiring. Not good; not a happy place for me. Being so pressed for time, and without realizing, I had dropped the practice of first doing a breathing exercise before starting. I experienced what Alice mentions in this video, and then some: being nervous, stressed, easily distracted, not able to fully engage, feeling drained and sad. I could comprehend what was being said but it seemed to be merely going in then out, having a mental block. For me, doing a breathing exercise before starting is needed and again part of my daily habit. Merci Alice 🦋

Christine, I know how you feel. Breathing helps as well as finding content you enjoy and interest you. French acquisition is a journey with its ups and downs because we are human beings. Sometimes taking a break is also good. Don't worry, your brain will not forget all the French you have already acquired. Bon courage

Merci bcp Alice pour vos vidéos! (mot à la fin de la phrase au lieu d'en (d'être en??) milieu? Ou ça marche ainsi aussi?) L'acquisition, ça c'est fait principalement par KZbin pour moi. Et pour les gens qui n'ont qu'à commencé (qui viennent de commencé?), cette technique d'acquérir une langue naturellement fonctionne absolument, je suis un spécimen ici sur qui ça(elle?) a marché :D :P (mon orthographe et mes paroles ne sont pas parfaits, mais je me souviens que dans une vidéo Alice a dit que ça fait environ 10 mille heures d'acquisition pour les bébés avant de/pour commencer (avant qu'ils commencent?) à parler , nous les adultes/ados nous avons bcp de contexte des choses (choses dans le monde en général, comment elles fonctionnent, leurs noms, des concepts etc.) pour nous aider, alors il faut prendre du temps je pense, merci pour avoir lu ça, bonnce chance à toi/vous!)
