MRT is the most gorgeous trail in the LP. My wife and I go every year. It’s really popular these days because of the beauty and distance from the bigger southern cities like Grand Rapids and Detroit, so it can get busy on weekends/holidays. If you are into canoe/kayak camping, Hodenpyl to Tippy Dam is a great canoe run. Small mouth bass, brown trout, pike (slower water in the tippy dam backwaters) are all in the river. I love that you took the time to do a video about the MRT, if you haven’t done so yet, try it again mid-October.. the colors are breathtaking.

Nice hike. We kayaked from Hodenpyle Dam ti Tippy Dam 2 years ago. The river is great to kayak and the fishing is good. Lots of rainbows, smallmouth bass. Even got a pike. A one nighter from Hodenpyle to Red Bridge is almost perfect if you want to fish. We found a great lit9tle campsite on the NCT side of the river.

Some friends!!!! Didn’t even send me any conjugal visits while I was locked up. It was the strawberry shortcake legos so I couldn’t resist. You know that’s my fave. Nice trip buddy. Place looks awesome. We should totally yak it up. That place is loaded with salmon and steelhead in the cold months. Not sure how far you are or how far they run up but they are in the system later. I think it’s a zoo of fisherman tho too so taking at that time would be a dick move to the waders. Goat out! 🤘
