Witam..Podziwiam samozaparcie przy tego typu naprawach,dużą wiedza zawsze pomaga,pod warunkiem że wiemy co robimy?Niestety elektronika jest czuła na wilgoć,wodę i zanieczyszczenia,nigdy niemyjemy kineskopu wogole,a już nie kranowa,źle rozumowanie,brak podejścia rozumowania w stosunku do samego kineskopu,jeśli już to tylko woda dejonizowana bez chemii,lub izopropanolu,dotyczy to także płyty i innych elementów,resztę jak obudowę można umyć,elektrolity jak i powielacz to bardzo czułe elementy,najpierw pomysł potem rób!udanych napraw.

It is totally fake, from the first second to the last! Look how is the sticker on the tube at 4"51: there is a brown mark on it. And the "new" tube installed at the end has also the same mark on the sticker (watch at 14"44). The video is reversed, the tv was in good condition and he destroyed it.

and how an electronic equipment will work after being plunged in the water for a long period of time ? all the PCB had to gain rust, the components being deteriorated, and so many other issues. this equipments seems to be too much cleaned. then, removing the dust with water again ? bahh! that's the first sign that this is fake!

@@mongecapoeira In fact it is not impossible, I already repaired an Apple 2 computer screen and a Sony Trinitron tv which were into water and mud during a quite long time. So it is not impossible, of course it is a very long work and you need to spend days and days checking all testable parts, proceed to replacement of bad parts, before giving a try. But the repair of this video is fake, you can see that the broken tube of the start is the replacement tube of the end. And anyway it is near impossible to find a replacement tube that fits perfectly in replacement of a dead one.

@@mongecapoeira The rust doesn't affect too much the electric parts, the ic and most of electronic components support quite well water (of course if they are not powered at the same time!). Anyway you have to check the most you can (especially ic with ic tester, capacitors, diodes, transistors) and replace what is bad before trying to power on. It is not at all the tests seen on this video. The parts that rust quickly are the potentiometers, if they are rusted their resistance value is false and they can't be adjusted anymore, so needs to be replaced.

Once all of those components are washed, they are completely finished. And when he tests continuity he is actually testing resistance which will almost always cause the meter to respond. Thats what makes these restorations so false. Good entertainment though.

CRT wasn't replaced, it's the same CRT from beginning to end, or more accurately, end to beginning. The TV was torn apart, made artificially dirty and re-assembled after cleaning to show it worked. The CRT was then smashed and the whole thing thrown in a lake. You can see the CRT label at 3:56 and again at 14:38, they're 100% identical. Same part number and same stain on the label. Both a shame it was destroyed, and dangerous. CRTs haven't been made in well over a decade and are steadily dwindling, and dangerous it was dumped with the CRT shattered because the glass has lead, boron and other heavy metals in it designed to stop the xray radiation in operation. It'll leach into the environment.

What do you expect to see using those probes? Without a working circuit diagram how would you know what to look for.. Continuity isn’t the only thing to look out for.. I wouldn’t wanna power that up after soaking the line output transformer.. Extremely HIGH voltage is produced there.. And like it’s already been mentioned.. Water & electricity are certainly not the best of pals
