I have one of these watches. It's difficult to adequately express just how satisfying it was to watch you work on this particular example and bring it back to life. Thanks for sharing.

The way you removed the barrel arbor around 5:35 looks very convenient, with no chance of it flying.

Now if only they were making this today, I would actually want a new Rolex (other than a 36mm Explorer, of course). Maybe I will live to see the day when people cease to like overly large, horrendously thick auto watches. I will not hold my breath however...

Great to see our craftsmen are still with us ,and hopefully will be with for millennia ,as not everything should become digital ,👍

17 jewels. All looks fairly standard. Yet will no doubt demand luxury prices

Wow fantastic video, Charles I have my dads 1973-74 6426 and I want to clean it for him. Also it has a stripped crown and tube would you know the size crown, tube, and extractor I would need to get? Part number maybe. Also maybe part number or the casing seal. I’m having a nightmare trying to find what replacement I would need. Also what tool did you use to remove the case, I bought a Rolex set from eBay Hedapai, but as the thread is sunk In the socket hit the case even grinding the socket down didn’t help 26.5mm ,I ended removing it using rubber but would love a better tool. Any help would be much appreciated

I had a 6426 for 32 years until 2 scumbags stole it a couple of years ago in a home invasion.....really miss that watch.

I have a 1965 Oyster Submariner - 1560 movement. Is there much difference from the 1974 Oyster precision watch?

Круто, но глубины резкости камеры не хватает, все в блуре. И неудачный ракурс с которого снимается механизм.

I have one of these...6426 precision oyster rolex (gold dial/steel case) passed down as a family heirloom. However, the metal strap and watch seems to be heavily corroded due to idle storage for the last 20 years. It winds and I see the hands moving. I took it to the rolex service center and they are taking a look at it. Any idea what is the current value, what the servicing and parts cost for this model?
