Phenomenal, thanks for sharing, lovely to see what actually goes on in the servicing of a 1950s Longines mechanical watch, as an owner of one myself.

For ROLEX 6694 Is it true that if under 6 hours it does not have the T Swiss T without the two Ts on the watch which highlight a substantial modification even if it is original it is worth less?

Had you thought of it while the movement was apart, would an alum solution removed the rusted threaded steel section "without" affecting the coppery plating? Just wondering if the solution might have dulled the finish?

Hi. I have the same watch, and I've a question. What is the function of that little brass strip spring screwed in one side of the automatic bridge?

Thank you for your video. I’m struggling trying to get the escapement wheel in place. No matter how I try, the wheel only stays in place for a moment, before losing contact with the train wheel. Is that normal or maybe something is broken?

What'd you use for flux and solder? Seems like it has a higher melting point than the 40% solder paste I'm trying out.

Everything was nice, except the dial. It looks like they painted around the indexes instead of removing them.

I have the exact same fake Daytona watch. Same exact dial, case, and lug. My mom found it in my grandpas stuff 15 years ago when he died. I was shocked when she gave it to me, but I immediately knew it was fake. My grandpa was an extremely humble and modest man who probably didn’t even know what Rolex was, and wouldn’t ever wear a fake bootleg watch if he knew. But it’s still a cool piece. No idea where he got it and I’ll never know.

Beautiful work! Short, sweet and very informative. Thanks for showing the actual setting of the stones because most of the other tutorials on eternity rings leave that step out for some reasons. Can't wait to give this a try once my ball vise gets here this week.

If you would bring your cut ring together then take a flat file with a double edge and foul both sides together at the same time you get a much smaller soldering crack

Nate, that is beautiful work. I now make jewellery after a near fatal accident whilst working offshore. I wish I'd discovered jewellery decades ago. Smelt all my own gold and silver and make pure into different karat. I'm going to make this piece and when I do I'll post it as a tribute to you. I'll put up a wee short of an unfinished solid silver and 18k sun/moon pendant. I finished it and forgot to take a video before I gave it to my wife's friend for her 50th. Thanks for the video and you have a new subscriber pal.👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
