I have the exact same fake Daytona watch. Same exact dial, case, and lug. My mom found it in my grandpas stuff 15 years ago when he died. I was shocked when she gave it to me, but I immediately knew it was fake. My grandpa was an extremely humble and modest man who probably didn’t even know what Rolex was, and wouldn’t ever wear a fake bootleg watch if he knew. But it’s still a cool piece. No idea where he got it and I’ll never know.

Beautiful work! Short, sweet and very informative. Thanks for showing the actual setting of the stones because most of the other tutorials on eternity rings leave that step out for some reasons. Can't wait to give this a try once my ball vise gets here this week.

If you would bring your cut ring together then take a flat file with a double edge and foul both sides together at the same time you get a much smaller soldering crack

Nate, that is beautiful work. I now make jewellery after a near fatal accident whilst working offshore. I wish I'd discovered jewellery decades ago. Smelt all my own gold and silver and make pure into different karat. I'm going to make this piece and when I do I'll post it as a tribute to you. I'll put up a wee short of an unfinished solid silver and 18k sun/moon pendant. I finished it and forgot to take a video before I gave it to my wife's friend for her 50th. Thanks for the video and you have a new subscriber pal.👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hello Nate. I re-subbed. Great to have you back. I do have a couple of suggestions: 1) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD man, plese use BRASS tweezers ESPECIALLY on highly decorated movents. 2) the "tilt" of the camera angle is annoying (maybe it's just me since I too am a CC on YT). Not sure which edting package you use but Resolve allows one to rotate the angle of the video if one desires. 3) too much lubrication on the barrel. Lightly lubricate the cleaned mainspring, apply breaking grease, lightly apply HP1300 or similar (maybe 2-3 spots) on barrel, cover, arbor. At least that's the way I've always done it. Otherwise the lubrication WILL spread, leak out of the barrel arbor, and get all over the inside of the movement. 4) the bezel removing tool is realitively cheap - Aliexpress is your friend. I userstand it's not an AP or Patek but it is still a potentially $15K-$25K watch after all. 5) While at AE, pick up one of the "red or black plastic sticks" for holding down bridges or at least get some pegwood.

@natecharleswatches Ай бұрын
Welcome back :). Gonna be hard to change tweezers I'll be honest as I've been using these since day one and are now an extension of my hand, but I understand your concern. Apologies if the camera angle appears tilted. More than likely the angle and direction I have the camera pointing, will look into it. Typically I go for 3 spots on the barrel and haven't had any issues with grease leaking with 8200. Yes I'll be getting myself a bezel removing tool along side other pieces. Think I'll stick to peg wood and hand pushers ;). Granted I feel like I'm stuck in my ways and wont necessarily change too much but I do appreciate the concerns and input :)

My favorite is the orange colored bezel ,yellow gold bracelet , 1981... GMT I saw X days ago.(1977 too). I sincerely hope ROLEX will make a brand new one with their ,more variety,they can use for 2029? I hope this starving , hard-to- get a Rolex will be over soon, but it appears that it's not so. I'll be happy with my Invicta for now .🙂

Nice thing about watches is, that,with the right horrologist the watch can be "refreshed" rebuilt ...like new..all over again🥲 Also it'll have even MORE nostalgia because of the completely new vintage, classic look. 😊 💯 🎵 👍.
