Love that you explain what you are doing and why and love that you pay attention to refinishing everything from the top, front, inside the drawers if that’s what you are working on, and the back. Very few things can beat the satisfaction of a job well done. I rewatched this because I couldn’t remember what the finished project looked like. I’m very impressed with the final reveal! The brass is gorgeous, and the revealed wood grain is awesome. The casters are the perfect final touch.

I like the choice of the charring for this one. The plywood on top had a crazy grain pattern that reminded me vaguely of Damascus steel and I think the dark finish did allow that to show while covering some of the wear.

Yesterday I saw a dresser in the dumpster. I was alone and could not pull it out. My apartment has 12 units in one house, 12 in the next house, 2 in the next and the last one has 3. All houses in a row. I hate that folks don't at least leave the furniture outside the dumpster. Or at least post a free ad on CraigsList under free items. I hate the throwaway society Thanks for this presentation. I love your patience and care for the "old lady"

It was truly interesting to watch the transformation of the old dresser. You have wonderful tools and most importantly, you know how to use them!! I was hoping to see how you fitted the drawers. They must have needed new guides or side sliders. They were certainly sticking when you removed them. But thanks for all you did show!!!

Once again, it's your attention to detail that sets you & a couple of other YT furniture restorers apart. I've seen others totally skip a step that you went back & worked on 2-3 times. Or, until it was perfect or darn close to it! Thanks again for the awesome content & the hilarious commentary that goes along with it. Ie: "This is slightly discusting but, I think you guys like this. So, you're welcome"! When stripping the paint from the side of the dresser. Boy do you know your audience or what? Brilliant!!! Such a different piece now with character and style…just love it!!! I can see why you get so much satisfaction…you are the equivalent of the greatest cosmetic surgeon!!!! Now she can compete with the other old dames and go dancing!…lol! All the references to the good old Lady was heart warming…but…. I do try to avoid seeing myself as a WIDE DRESSER being saved from either the toxic waste dump or landfill. I think “worm holes” are especially defeating funereal landscape for my future!!! I have a vivid imagination and a cartoon brain but don’t let that stop you from your poetic rhapsodizing about aging and regenerating… very inspirational…not!
