You never cease to amaze me with your capabilities, soldering, nickel and copper plating, making minuscule parts along with the whole repair of the piece. This was a superb restoration. 🤗🇦🇺

So cool to see you salvage, repair, and reuse every single part on this project. The copper, followed by the nickel plating really brought out the luster. Masterful restoration!

Your work is amazing and I would rate it a 10! I love watching your skills and tools used to refinish & repair the worn & broken metal pieces. I keep looking for the metal sanding block that you use but cannot find one. I am from Houston, Texas USA

I wouldn't have the patience, the skills nor the steady hands to do this. Fiddling with all those small parts. But it turned out great. Watched it in Thailand as an expat living here.

@trimule3 күн бұрын
That is not an antenna. It was a remote shutter trigger. It allows the camera to be used on the tripod and not be shaken by pushing a shutter button on the camera itself. I was also surprised that Re-flame did not rebuild that part.

It could have been done, but it’s more difficult than it seems. There’s a system with three springs: an outer spring holding the coil, an inner spring, and a movable one. The last one has fallen apart into tiny pieces, and ordering or making it yourself is very challenging. It needs to be a flexible yet rigid spring with a size of about half a millimeter.

US since you keep asking 😅and 18 out of 20. Have to leave way for a cooler lighter. The Japanese just keep rolling them out, a camera lighter. What’s next a church where fire comes out of the steeple or maybe a Mt Rushmore lighter 🤷♀️ wonderful job again, keep digging and finding those rare and unique ones that I have never seen before. The lighter I had was over 30 years ago, bought it from a Harley Davidson dealer with a store that sold me one that was modeled of of one from the 30s or 40s. A little square one where the flint wheel was vertical and not a wheel at all but a pole of sorts. Lost it 29 years ago so that’s the best I can do. But they are out there…somewhere🤣

Thank you so much! I love your sense of humor about the next 'cool' lighter-who knows what the future holds! I’m always on the lookout for those rare and unique pieces. The one you had sounds like a special find too, and I’m sure it’s out there somewhere, waiting to be rediscovered. Thanks again for the kind words, and I’ll keep digging for those hidden gems!

@Re-flame3 күн бұрын
@feelisgood3 күн бұрын
Спасибо за ответ! Паяльник на 400 градусов это сколько ватт? Слышал, говорят, что шов после паяльной пасты плохо переносит высокую температуру.
@Re-flame3 күн бұрын
Паяльник 60 ват , паяльная паста до 200 градусов
