I love your work. I wish i could do what you do,its so satisfying. Love to have a work station,and everything. I think its a cool job,but very skillful. How much does it cost to get a full polish on a fairly good second hand Breiting .

Hello amazing video, also wondering if you can help where I can find the 4 tabs for a Breitling Crosswind 43mm ? I think that’s what it’s called, the one with the number 0, 15, 30 n 45 in stainless steel

I know this is a clone but I’d imagine it is an exact replica and takes the same amount of skill to dismantle. That being said thank you for uploading. I have a question. I recently purchased this same watch and the gold plating on the stem crown has faded and I want get it replated. Does the movement have to be fully disassembled to remove the stem? Or is there an easier way? Either way I’ll be taking it to a watch maker to have them do the word. All the best!
@LeRestauratHeure5 ай бұрын
It's not a clone, Ive had all the papers, box, and Breitling official service center invoices of previous repairs. Yes, you can remove a stem without dismantling the whole movement.
@rickstandish69325 ай бұрын
Why is the movement not marked? Is this the standard B01 movement?@@LeRestauratHeure
@LeRestauratHeure5 ай бұрын
@@rickstandish6932 because 1990's Breitling are fitted with a ETA 7750 movement, B01 Caliber is much more recent.

Is a lower end Breitling. It only has 17 jewels , i thought the higher jewels the better the watch is at keeping time. Don’t get me wrong my most favorite brand is Breitling
@LeRestauratHeure3 жыл бұрын
The 17 and 25 jewels movement are almost identical, the second one is more modern, accuracy of the watch can be really good with an old version movement. In fact, the jewels added are just to make it more reliable for long term using. If you want to learn more about this movement, you can search for Valjoux or ETA 7750

@@LeRestauratHeure great info
@marcosjivest9882 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the Valjoux 7750 loosely based off the Lemania 5100? The extra jewels in the modern iteration of the 7750 is for long term efficiency. On a side note, I think Breitling is a wonderful brand, however, when I see vintage pieces like this where it looks like they just dropped a factory ready movement into their watch case really is disappointing. Other than the engraved rotor (which was probably done by ETA on their behalf), the movement looks bone stock. I would expect some perlage or cote de geneve on the base plates and rotor. Awesome job by the way.

It was running when this video started what was wrong with it ? By the way with the metal bracelet on it’s too loose on the wrist !
@LeRestauratHeure3 жыл бұрын
The watch didn't get serviced for the last 20 years so it was running yes but very poorely, oil was dry, some springs too loose, and everything needed a good clean up Bracelet was too loose but it's because it is not set for my wrist but for the owner's one 😊

I guess you missed the part he worked on the case and the bracelet, that is restoration and not a service, you service the movement, IE the moving parts.

My jeweler just sent my gold and stainless 50th anniversary edition Navitimer into Breitling in Connecticut. I was rough on it. Estimate from Breitling: $2,000 to make it like new. The last time they worked on it was 7 years ago. It came back looking like the day my wife purchased it for me. Her Rolex was $1,200 for a tune up recently. They are not cheap. It's like a Ferrari vs a Ford.
