Beautiful restoration job you did restoring the balance scale. It looks much better than before and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.

Thank you sir for viewing and commenting. I am very glad that you liked my work, because it was the first time I restored scales, so I did not know what the result would be.

Thank you! Yes, it turned out well with the screws this time. They untwisted nicely and effectively.

Great work, great video! One minus, very short, didn't notice how the video ended! But it was a great 12 minutes!

Thank you. There were not too many processes in this restoration. I think the next video will be longer. But it's not accurate)

Really like that, so much so, that I'm going to make sure my wife doesn’t see it. She'd absolutely love one of those in the kitchen! Am i right in thinking that those are seahorses? Great job👍🏻
@Dr.PepperovskyКүн бұрын
Thank you! Yes, they are brass seahorses. Until I cleaned it, I thought it was ducks)) For entourage, the thing is very good, but from a practical point of view, it is not the best idea.

Do you mean that the title of the video is spelled incorrectly in Portuguese, did I understand correctly? I noticed a long time ago that Portuguese is a difficult task for a translator.

Ok, sooooo.... what's with the gloppy red spot? It looks really nice now! I'm also wondering why you didn't file the bird beaks when you were removing the other imperfections. I love that they are brass -- against the blue, they really stand out! Nicely done overall!
@Dr.PepperovskyКүн бұрын
Thank you. The red spot is a simulation of the seal that was applied to the calibration casting. You probably mean seahorses) I didn't file their faces because I didn't want to change the geometry of the casting, but I just wanted to remove what shouldn't be there.
@vickiefowler1429Күн бұрын
@ oh! Seahorses! Yeah, I didn't pick up on that! Thanks for clearing that up. I've seen other scales that had a similar pair of indicators. I always thought they were cranes! Now, I'm wondering if they've all been seahorses! 🤣🤣🤣

8:01 What is this liquid ? thanks for sharing
@Dr.PepperovskyКүн бұрын
Thanks for watching! The liquid is a heated solution of citric acid. I use it to dissolve rust on small parts and to blacken the same parts for corrosion protection

Weird blue color to use, the ducks were originally red which looks better
@Dr.Pepperovsky12 сағат бұрын
Dark blue is the original color of these scales. At the beginning, there is a shot where I remove the plate and there is blue paint under it. And I also specially showed during sandblasting that the blue paint was the first, that is, the factory paint. I don't know about the ducks, but the seahorses were also painted blue from the factory with golden paint on top of the blue.

@@Dr.Pepperovsky Its hard to see detail on these small screens
@Dr.Pepperovsky12 сағат бұрын
@@tymz-r-achangin I will tell you that it was not easy to see even in life. There were so many layers of paint that I was confused. And the fact that the brass seahorses were for some reason painted with two layers of paint from the factory is very strange.
