Restoration Old Alarm Clock | I RESTORED this RUSTY ALARM CLOCK from 1955

This video is about the restoration of an old German watch, circa 1950. This watch was a gift from a subscriber. To restore the watch I had to use the following tools: sandblasting machine, lathe, fiber optic laser, ultrasonic bath, painting was done under varnish.
The result of the restoration was excellent.

Ich muss Sie wirklich loben! 👍 Sie haben wirklich eine gute Restaurierung gemacht! Falls sie es noch nicht wussten der Wecker ist von der Marke Junghans. Hier noch ein paar tipps wenn sie nochmal solch einen Wecker Restaurieren: Die 2 Zugfedern hätten sie wechseln sollen, denn durch das Jahrzehnte lange aufziehen der Uhr ist es immer so das die Zugfedern schlaff werden und an Kraft und spannung verlieren. Dadurch läuft die Uhr meist keine 24h oder kann öfters mal am Tag stehen bleiben. Und sonst hätten sie die Unruh der Uhr etwas besser beim Einbau justieren müssen, weil der Wecker etwas ungleichmäßig tickt. Aber sonst bin ich echt überrascht was die Restauration anging ! Wirklich großartig, vom Gehäuse und Zifferblatt bin ich am meisten erstaunt! 💪 Der Wecker sieht wirklich wie neu aus.

​​​@@walterkonig8792 Nein technisch ist der Wecker leider nicht wie neu. Die alten Federn haben bei langem nicht mehr so viel Kraft wie früher. Und müssen gewechselt werden. Die gehen in ein paar Monaten von selber kaputt. Und dann kann man davon ausgehen wenn die Feder im aufgezogenen Zustand bricht, es beim Federrad ein paar Zähne weg haut, durch das schnelle freilassen der Kraft, man darf die dinger nicht unterschätzen. Diese Arbeit was diese Person an dem Uhrwerk verrichtet hat, macht kein ausgebildeter Uhrmacher. Das was im Video gemacht wurde ist nur Bastelei. Und der lässt den Wecker auf Zwang laufen. Nur das Uhrwerk wie ein Amateur zu reinigen, heißt nicht das dass Uhrwerk danach einwandfrei läuft. Es müssen eingelaufene Lager gewechselt werden, dann Zapfen mit laufspuren rolliert werden, Zugfedern alle beide neu und anständig ölen und fetten denn nicht überall kommt fett oder Öl hin. Eventuell muss die Unruhspirale (wenn sie im schlechten Zustand ist) gewechselt werden. Und falls nicht etwas gerade biegen und die Spirale nach den entfernen wieder richtig im Spiralklötchenträger mit dem Splint fest gemacht werden, die muss man so genau richten biss der wecker ein Gleichmäßiges ticken von sich gibt, sonst bleibt der stehen. Wie im Video! Also ich würde meine Uhren nicht zu solchen leuten schicken. Du vielleicht? Wenn man will das der Schaden im Uhrwerk vergrößert wird, dann bitte!

​@@forevereuropaIch bin auch gelernter Uhrmacher. Die Federn zu belassen geht absolut nicht. Zapfen rollieren und neue Messinglager setzen wäre auch nötig gewesen. Der ganze Aufwand steht eh in keinem Verhältnis zu dem was der Wecker wert ist. Ich habe vor kurzem auf dem Flohmarkt für 8 Euro einen Junghans Wecker gekauft. Zerlegt und gereinigt, neue KWM-Einpresslager gesetz, Federn waren noch ok. Wecker läuft super. Auch das wäre eigentlich was den Wert betrifft schon zu viel Aufwand.

@@joachim9043 Ich habe eine Frage wo gibt es denn eigentlich diese neuen KWM-Einpresslager (komplett) zu kaufen? Auf Ebay finde ich immer welche nur da werden die für viel Geld verkauft und das Sortiment ist nicht mal komplett sondern fehlt immer die Hälfte.

Wondeful restoration, but did you lubricated the movment? The clock runs very slow and bad, use sewing machine oil and lubricate the bearings😊

Ich kenne das! Das gute Stück hat vier Jahre unbemerkt im Klo gelegen, von einer Schwiegermutter verschwiegen! Dann kam der Weckerprinz von nebenan, und den Rest kennt Ihr ja: ER brachte ein neues Werk für 28 Mark vom Schwarzwald mit ... und alle freuten sich! Do the arrows by any chance glow at the savo without a light source? Such old watches are extremely dangerous. Perhaps there is a permanent radium-based light mass. Considering that the mass is old, it crumbles and falls off, radioactive dust is obtained. You would check with a dosimeter just in case.

Why sanding, rust removal or nickel coating when you can just sand blast it, cold blue it, or paint over the nearly unworked metal? Life's too short and you only live once! Seriously, truth be told, watching My Mechanics has forever spoiled me. This video was a hard watch, but eventually, that beautiful piece looks good after assembly.
