These drills are indestructible. I renovated a similar one, Celma (Polish drill from 80's), very similar construction. Worked for 40 years, next 40 to come.

That sea salt, sand and crud is like cement. Even here in the Arizona desert we would have trouble drying out those field coils.

If i were you, I'd probably re-use the original screws cause they looked to be in great condition. I would replace any screws that aren't in a good enough condition to re-use
