The only thing that really made a difference for me was learning how to use the “correct” facial muscles when smiling. Which was face yoga. If you aren’t using your upper cheek muscles, then anything you do to the skin is going to be superficial. If you only use lower cheek muscles and mouth muscles, you get that heavy triangle. Think about how singers always look good. Because you naturally use those upper cheek muscles when singing. Also good tongue, teeth and body posture. There are so many little habits we do that pull our face down and make it uneven. It did take me a while to really understand and feel which muscles to use but nothing can replace actually using the correct muscles all day long. I would like to try some of this. I’ve done the volufiline and it does help the baby fine lines but not the ones you get from muscles on me personally.

I have Dr. Rajani's red light mask, and I love it. I see a marked difference in wrinkles, dark spots, and tone of my skin. I use the mask on my declate, hooters, and hands as well. I take a lot of supplements to include hylauronic acid, whole vitamin C, and collagen drinks. I don't smoke, do drugs, and rarely drink alcohol. I do deep breathing regimes, and eat mostly organic. I do a variety of probiotics and eat a lot of salads and clean protein. I still eat some sugar but have drastically dropped it back. I know it's a problem. I take supplements to reduce blood sugar. I think I look pretty good for an old broad. It would be nice to do some procedures, but it's not in the budget right now. I microneedle at home on occassion. Those Korean masks that Dr. Rajani sells are excellent. They really firm up the skin and give it a glow. I like how straight forward Dr. Rajani is.

Your commitment to using Dr. Rajani’s products, maintaining a healthy diet, and following a holistic lifestyle is truly inspiring. It’s wonderful to hear how the red light mask and other tools have made a noticeable difference for you. Your balanced approach-like cutting back on sugar while still enjoying life-shows that sustainable health is about progress, not perfection. And kudos to you for microneedling at home and exploring what works within your budget. It’s clear you’re dedicated to maintaining your glow, and it’s paying off! 👍 Your right Dr Rajani, BEWARE of Radio Frequency that goes too deep, especially if you’re older and/or don’t want to lose precious fat in the face! My friend who is in her late 50’s had four treatments of Morpheus 8 and they went too deep(4), and six months to a year later her bottom face is extremely lax and now has a lot of sagging that wasn’t there before. She’s lost precious fat and now only has loose skin. Please don’t say it’s old age because she looked fantastic before.! But at the same time, my other friend had Sylfirm and they only went 1.5 deep… combine with Sculptra and she looks fabulous. It tightened up her skin and gave her a youthful V and plumpness. It’s all about who you’re going to trust with your face in doing these procedures and how much experience they have.

Dr. Rajani could you discuss Stem cell therapy using our own stem cells for rebuilding bone? I saw this on a dental site could this also be applicable to aesthetics? A lot of aging comes from bone loss. Could stem cells be injected along the jaw line and cheek bones etc. for this purpose in future? Where is stem cell therapy in the future of aesthetics? Thank you! 💕

@@rajanimdskincare Holy smokes! Are they using PRF of regrow the jaw line without surgery? That would be a game changer. I know some are doing PRF for pulpotomies instead of root canals nowadays but you have to hunt those dentists down where I am. I do know they are regrowing teeth in Japan! Their tests are being done as we speak for human trials now as it has been successful. They aren't using PRF but drug antibodies to shut off the "stop growing teeth" chemical we release temporarily and can even pinpoint location! It should be ready for release in less than 5 years. Science is moving fast by leaps and bounds hopefully we can at least regrow bone lost in our faces. Thank you Dr. Rajani !

They should have explained to you better. It is made to induce your body's own collagen production. It isn't a regular filler. It takes months for your body to do the work of building that new collagen up, and multiple treatments. It's a long game, more natural approach, not a quick fix like filler.

Gouri is not GMP certified and the EC Rep will not tell you where the product is being manufactured although the parent company claims they are in SK. Gouri is based off a DLMR patent and what I find interesting is this product has been able to get item approval numbers yet no clinical trials exist.....Dexlevo did have GMP status but it ended last year I believe and cannot be found in the Korean ministry food and drug safety system under GMP active status. This product causes a lot of swelling as it is hydrophobic and many people have ended up in the hospital for anaphylaxis reactions. I have used it a few times and it is painful (very burny). PLLA products perform much better IMHO and are not painful with little to no side effects.

Dr Rajani, you mention masks for red light therapy. These are typically associated with certain specific wavelengths (from 600 to 850 nm or something like that), right? I have recently bought an IR lamp that has a much broader spectrum (600 to 2500 nm, with 1250 nm as the dominant wavelength). I was trying to find some information online, but the results of research are conflicting. Some say these wavelengths can induce photodamage, others report they can actually protect the skin from UV radiation, there are reports they may cause cancer, but in other papers scientists suggest they can be used in cancer treatment, so I'm confused. What do you think? Is it better not to use the lamp on the face, just in case?

Merry Christmas Dr. Rajani! Follow up question about Lanluma and Sculptra. I have been getting Sculptra for 12 years-started with whatever the protocol was 12 years ago which was roughly 6 vials spaced in 3 or 6 month increments the first year (can’t remember exactly the #of vials) and maintenance yearly of either a vial or now that I am over 50-2 vials. Do you think Lanluma will be more expensive per vial since it’s more concentrated than Sculptra? Asking because $1600 for maintenance is a lot especially factoring in an annual laser to keep my skin looking good.

Hi Dr Rajani, I developed melasma a few years ago after using the Lightstim mini and although it's improved a lot I'm still trying to fade it. I would love to be able to try red light therapy again but I'm worried that it will worsen the melasma. I have also been warned that microneedling should be avoided if you have melasma. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated, I'm also interested in RF and wondering if that is safe with melasma.

Did your Lightstim Mini have blue wavelengths? Blue light is not safe for melasma, but red & near infrared are. (Obviously there are exceptions to every rule.) The Lightstim comes in a red-blue combo as well as models with no blue light.

It is possible the acne is fungal (malassezia folliculitis) & feeds off of many common moisturizer ingredients. It has nothing to do with "natural". Most of that is marketing nonsense known as "greenwashing". Have you looked into fungal acne? I had the exact same issue as you. There is a website where you can paste ingredient lists & be told of any problematic ingredients. It is a long list including anything that has fatty acid chains of a certain length. Fatty alcohols (e.g. cetyl alcohol), fatty esters as well as the fats, oils & butters themselves are all culprits. This may not be your issue at all. I just thought I would share since I find it is not discussed enough. I was even sensitive to water based serums as well if they contained alot of the problematic esters & such. It is difficult to find fungal acne safe skincare. BTW: We are very close in age too!
