U did a great job, by painting the parts without masking the holes and other parts, with out putting new parts, not taking out the crank, no bearings change, not using a torque wrench.. Great job 👍

First of all, the mud should be removed before removing the first bolt. Painting is the last thing and must be done with the engine already closed. Using an iron hammer is a bad word and the alternator should never be painted (cooling). Congratulations on making it work despite everything!!

From what I know an alternator is cooled by the air being pulled through the inside of it not over the outside.

The only restoration i found in this video was just lapping of the valves. Just clean, spray, and reassemble. Nothing even Torqued ?.

It worked the same as before the so called "restore", running it without coolant at the end of the video certainly didn't help either. Much time and effort could have been saved by simple pressure washing and flushing the oil system. Maybe the guy needed to exercise his mechanic skills.

I never saw the actual fault, for why the engine was abandoned..? I've repaired a Kawasaki 3 cyl diesel, that the cylinder head was cracked thru the water jacket about mid way. A Yanmar also. What was the initial problem? Also- running bolts down with impact is kinda scary a little.

I think this is a dong feng 3cylinder engine, I have had several of these running stationary water pumps 24/7 they are a great throw-away engine. cheap but efficient.

Its a kubota D1100/d1101, unless it was so slavishly copied they copied the blocks part number!

Very lucky the pistons were good. The rings were not gummed in place either. Being cast iron it will forgive you not precisely torquing the head on. At least you did a sequence that should stop any head issues. Well done.

Muy interesante el trabajo , pero no fue completa la restauracion del motor , porque en todo el video nunca se saco el cigueñal para revisarlo , no reviso el estado de los metales de bancada , tanto del eje de levas como los metales de las bielas ,menos reviso el estado de las bancadas , no reviso el circuito de lubricacion del cigueñal , y esasfaltas de proligidad en un futuro podria causar daño muy significativos para un buen desempeño del motor , mi clificacion del 1 al 10 , serias un 5 como calificacon , espero que este comentario se para que mejoren y que sea de ejemplo .

clean off the dirt and grease //as when it was new// when it was put to together as a new motor to do the job right !!! in new motor build your way-- you must add grease and dirt in new build //this why a new motor has no grease or dirt .as its clean
