An amazing job - can't wait to see the whole car! As others have pointed out, the white circle on the tire/tyre is supposed to be aligned with the valve. Why not sand blast, turn a fresh lip and powder coat? Would've been far less labour intensive, cheaper and more durable. Plus, see that small circle on the tyre sidewall? That marks the heaviest spot of the tyre and should always be positioned opposite the valve; makes balancing the wheel much easier!

This is unfortunately a myth. I've been working in the car industry for over 10 years and the round markers on the tires, (usually Yellow, White or Red) is only storage information to the factory where they produce the tires and has nothing to do with weight. :)

Flg5s baby!! Someone else watches the gunman. Anyway, the results were good, but you went about the job the hardest way possible. Especially on mesh wheels. I wouldn't be able to sell the job for a reasonable price with the time u spent. Next time, disassemble, degrease, sand blast, create a custom filler spreader using a nice section of a wheel lip using an exacto knife and slowly shaping it to contour around the outer bead down to almost the spokes. That will take about 30 minutes but make the lip filling process much easier. Do the filling, sand with 80 then 180, epoxy prime 2 coats, straight on with base & clear. Side note, turn that pressure down man. It sounds like 35 psi, maybe even 40. That gun is mint 20-25psi 1.5 turns in from where the handle starts moving. 2 in for clear if you really are afraid of runs. I have 5 years experience with the flg5. I own 4 now, and ive painted all kinds of cars and colors with em. Best gun ever. Everything else is overpriced in my book. Keep em comin. Subbed.

Tyre machine catch the wheel inside the barrel? 😀 Also put and twist around the tyre on new painted wheels, this make me cray. Also paintwork not the best but ok.

Beautiful restoration! But I wonder, since the completion of the E30 is still a long way down the road wouldn‘t it have make sense to wait with the new tires?

Great video but... WHY... do these videos never have the drill/grinder/sander/saw noise edited out our just pushed way down???!!!

not the proper way to repair a wheel, where material gone, sanding will not repair that. You have to add aluminum and then get to the proper measurements sanding... but adding material, not sanding the imperfections only

I know you’ve recently moved from the UK, do you do this sort of thing for an income other than KZbin? Such as restoring parts for customers? I’m intrigued 😂

Have you any idea how many more videos are yet to come? Interior? Seats? Windows? Obviously a string of rebuilds, but when do you think we'll get to see the assembly?!

A couple of years ago, I refurbed the alloys on a Honda Jazz/Fit. The difference was unreal. The secret is in the preparation, for sure. They looked fantastic compared to the road rash they had suffered.

Wouldn't aluminium be better than bondo for repairing the rims? No judgment I'm actually asking.

Body filler to fill in the curb rash? You gotta be joking. Weld metal into that shit and file/sand to shape.

Sorry, why are you putting filler on the inside of the rim that nobody will ever see? Am I missing something?
