Great video! I've always been to afraid to build anything with toroids. I've got some from a hamfester years (decades) ago but I have no idea what mix they are and have no idea how to test them so in the junk box they stay. I would LIKE to be able to use them. Thanks for sharing this valuable information with us. Nice to know there is other options out there if I ever get a radio with a bad oscillator coil. Your videos are short, sweet, and to the point. Ryan - place 10 turns of wire on the Toroid and use this formula: uH=(AL*Turns2)/1000 Then use this page as a resource to understand the AL for the particular Toroid: toroids.info/ Hope this helps. Best, Don
