"overdrive is like an extra gear with more power" Is actually the opposite. Overdrive is for driving a sustained speed and dropping the engine rpm. Just so you don't pop out into overdrive to pass someone or something.

I have an 89 you have to wait 5 min to tell if the other fuel tank is working just let it run and if it dies the front pump is out

I had a 1988 F150 XLT Lariat exactly the same color. 1 its duel fuel. 2 Internal fuel pumps that are inside the tanks. He has to keep the fuel.filter change or the pump will burn out . And keep.the level above 1/4. Get a haynes repair book. And learn it.

Overdrive is not the gear for more power. It is the gear you drive in if you want to save on gas. If you're pulling a load you want it in regular drive but if you're cruising with nothing in the bed and not pulling anything throw it in overdrive and you will save gas

On the AOD transmission, regular drive is between overdrive and 1st. A dashboard switch turns the overdrive on or off if you have the E4OD transmission.

The e-brake has nothing to do with the rear brakes actually working. That's why it's called an emergency brake it's a mechanical line. Your rear brakes are hydraulic just like the front brother lol

Hey. Just bought one in almost perfect condition the other day, only 50,000 miles (not rolled over at all and like no pedal wear. Grandpas truck gave to granddaughter and she sold for down payment for a new Nissan versa 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ but good luck for me lol) anyways. ONLY thing wrong I can't figure out and it's DRIVING ME CRAZY I CANNOT find the panel or even NAME of the panel that's the interior plastic piece under the rear window that covers the metal. That's all I need and the interior is immaculate. I'm having to chase down some vacuum leaks and replace window motors and valve cover gaskets. But no big deal. I've got all that lol. Just can't find that damn plastic interior piece.

fun jeeps Yes, you always put it in overdrive to drive for everyday cruising. The D is for all the gears except overdrive and you mainly use that when you have a heavy load or pulling a trailer because it’s not good on your transmission to use overdrive under heavy load.

neil brown From the little experience I have with the duel fuel tank set up.. I’d say use the front tank, she’s the bigger unit! And usually your digital switch at this stage of its life, is ether faking the read out or just not working😂
