Glad you're ok Mook. I had the same thing happen when I was in 4th grade. I was sick at school and everyone thought I was faking. After a couple days of being sick I went to the Dr and they rushed into emergency surgery. My appendix was about to burst. Luckily it didn't and everything went well. Glad yours did too. I remember the worst thing was coughing after the surgery. Hurt like hell.

Hopefully she had the revised surgery three small incisions instead of one large one. Had mine removed 19 years ago,now 51. Recovery was quick.

@@craigwiess1656 Another vote for laparoscopy here. X mine had burst but, "wrapped" itself up & recover was optimal. Still suggest you give 6-8 months to let those muscles repair & then restrengthen them. Won't hurt to take it easy until Spring.

Good to have you back, that f150 sounds beautiful! Reminds me of Big Blue, my dad's old f150 from the late 80s. That thing has been all over the east coast and even climbed Mt. Washington in New Hampshire (highest peak east of the Mississippi river). He bolted two car seats into the bed attached to the frame, threw a fancy matching cap on the back and threw a mattress in the back. We went everywhere in that thing until one too many winters in PA the frame started rotting away and we had to send her out to pasture. She still sits at an old dump right at the end of an old mining road that hasn't been used in decades. As a teen later on my friends and I would hike out the mountains every weekend to party and would walk by Big Blue all the time, got emotional a few times on the hike back home drunk as a skunk walking past it 💙. Story time over lol heal up quick, we wanna see that burnt Nova finished up!

White lithium grease is a good choice. It’s what used in old disk drives that also do surface-on-surface movement and lasts decades.

Glad to hear that you healed up just fine. You just can't keep a good mechanic down. Kudos to Kev for fixing the ignition turning hard issue. That is what they do, they get stiff, and the owner keeps forcing the lock cylinder over until they break that curved part of the ignition rack, which is what Ford called them. I have replaced tons of those things through the years. It would have eventually broke and stranded you somewhere.

1. Super cool to see how old tech (no computer crap) can be revived due to it's relative simplicity and continue to be useful. We had a '74 f150 w/inline six, I'd love to still have that. Bulletproof easy to maintain vehicle. 2. Jay Leno had to be hospitalized and nearly lost his eyesight messing with a distributor that was out of phase because he WASNT WEARING EYE PROTECTION and a fireball shot from the intake. I nearly did the same thing too many years ago. Mook wears her eyes when she's underneath, you should too when replacing/jackin around with the distributor.

Hey mookand Kevin. I’ve got two things for you 1 I’m only a couple hours from you and don’t mind help trying to tune fuel and spark tables. I’ve done pretty well with my 302 ranger on my own along with my dads fox. I’ll leave that however you like. The Holley will only learn so much, so you won’t ever get the full potential without tuning. I can definitely help the super long cranks Second. Do not be scared of the TV. Start with it preloaded like it was with the sonnax bracket. If you set it with no tension at idle, that’s too loose. The cable controls line pressure only. If you don’t have enough pressure, it slips. Too much line pressure, and it’s too harsh. Harsh won’t hurt it near like slippage as you know. Start firm, work it down. Sounds pretty dang good guys! Happy for you to finally have it closer where you want

Sorry too hear you had appendix issues and surgery to remove it Mook. Nice to see the guys helping you out so you don't get hurt. I myself will be having kidney surgery for the 4th time in one yr. And it won't be the last.Drink lots of water to keep your kidneys washed out and flowing.mine totally blocked because the ureter tubes collapsed because both kidneys were completly blocked with kidney stones and cysts.its a long story but the short version is my right kidney is almost dead and the left one is damaged but still functioning at 77% so we have to keep it working or I'm headed to heaven and I don't want that anytime soon. So everyone take care of your kidneys.i had no idea I had any issue at all with them.i couldn't pass the stones which would have told me how bad they were because the tube collapsed and this happens to many many people.

When you have anything that deals with a sticky lock cylinder; Tri Flow is your friend! Tri Flow contains Teflon and thus does not leave anything greasy behind that can start to dry up and bind hardware.
