That’s a great presentation and well worth a look for someone, like me who is considering refurbishing my year 2000 Td5 90. I need to look back at the comments to see where you obtained the kit and various other parts. I live in Ireland so obtaining the items from the UK makes everything much more expensive! I got them from alibaba. So nothing too fancy but they do the job!

That lot will do a lot for the racket. It was already twice as quiet as the old 200tdi bucket I replaced this one with. Old girl landed on her feet coming up to you, could have seen out the last of its days getting kicked about by cattle.

@@Oilatumify oh I see very cool, I don’t think the whole kit would fit my defender unfortunately as I have a tdci? So the rubber matting that goes over the gearbox tunnel won’t fit but maybe the other bits will? Cheers

Christ, you really mullered that, the floor will have to com out when, not if, you have to do the gearbox. Ludicrous to seal the floor like that, there should be a MODERATE amount of sealer UNDER the seams. The Defender leaks from the top, outside, not from the bottom. Pity the next owner who tries to do anything on that. Sound quality was piss poor, but you made that worse too with background music....
