I love these shows. You should consider doing this to some older 90's Rangers. The 4 cylinder ones are cheap, very reliable and parts are ridiculously inexpensive.

It's SO refreshing to see you actually use a torque wrench; so many 'KZbin' mechanics don't use them & actually make fun of them. I started to think I was odd for using one all the time!
@SmplBuilds4 ай бұрын
Haha thanks! I always try to use the proper torque specs.

Nothing odd man, Just remember not laughing at you if you were different but laughing at them that they are all the same. I used torque wrench on almost all bolts which need to be torqued.

What's a simple build, okay, so I'm a long time Honda fan boy you could say worked on a few single cams dual cams, even j series that ticking sound your hear from the engine, it's not your head, it's not your gasket, honestly all you really need is. Just a valve lash, generally with these older 90s, Honda's after so many miles being put on it, they're about to do tend to come loose. All you have to do is do a quick valve lash on it and you'll get rid of that ticking sound. And as far as your idle that's another issue that can be relatively fixed, there is an intake manifold on that head and right behind that head. There's a 3 bolt idle air control valve should be a 2 wire plug or a 3 wire plug disconnect that's go ahead and take the bolts off take it out you're gonna see 2 holes, one with a mesh and 1 that's relatively open. If that mesh is gunky and black, all you have to do is clean that out. Dry it out, let it air dry for a couple hours. Plug that back in, put it back on. Start that car up and then you'll hear that it's gonna be a smooth idol.

I'm guessing the car had a non vtec head and someone put a vtec head on it. That explains the new ecu and the IAT not working. I had a civic that had the same idle problems because the previous owner swapped to a vtec head.

Hey i got an old corolla. I got it pretty cheap and it only got 160k km (ig arround 100k miles) and its in decent condition but it looks bad and theres some minor issues. One of these issues is that theres a lot of debree inbetween the wheel and the door which i tryed to get out by removing the cover arround the wheel. One of the screws turned infinitely and all the plastic clips broke off. Where can i get these clips? Or the screws? The car is like 30 years old.
