This video is the continuation of building a waterproof underground movie theatre in my 1917 farm house (mansion). The video begins by jumping right into finishing the waterproofing underneath the underground movie theatre. My crew and I have invested a lot of time into this underground movie theatre build. This video highlights some of the work we have done. Today was one of the hottest days of the year, so our work was definitely cut out for us! Cole think about two ground level riser pipes from the two drains so later you could tie in rain gutter down spouts before you back fill. You and the guys are doing a great job.

The downside to this idea is that anything that washes off the roof or gutters ends up in the underground tile and is almost impossible to clear out

@@Ke0hwo The risers would also act as clean outs so you could flush the drains out if needed. All house drains have clean outs. Gutter guards would stop anything from clogging a 6" drain pipe. No down side put the risers in now when it is easy or dig it up later .

The Movie Theater is 2-3 feet above the floor of Water Table, which sits above the Rock on which the Clay is. What Cole is doing is creating a drainage to the "Waterbowl" with the Rock as Bottom and Clay on the Sides. He got about 6 times what he needs on gravity fed Water transport to get the Water away from the Floor of the Movie Theater, which sits again 2-3 Feet above the Watertable defining Rock. Worse Case Scenarios which can happen: Flash Flood induced by rain fills the Drainage rapidly and increases the Waterlevel of the Drainage by 12 feet then the water will hit the Bottom of the Movie Theater. Which is not unheard of and can be prevented by safety valve so that there is no backflow. But until then the only Backdraw of the DIY Method is, it is massivly overkill, an 'engineered' Method normaly only has 3 times of a hard case szenario while this got around 6 times.

Cole I think I know what to do with all your extra dirt. You should make it into a sledding hill for your kids in the winter! You get plenty of cold and snow for it, but I haven't seen any nice hills. You could even shape it so different spots/sides have different slopes, like a gentle slope, a medium slope, and a steep slope, etc. You might even be able to put little tracks in it that have turns in them. (That could create an erosion issue, but I'm guessing having grass rooted into it would take care of that mostly) And in the summer you could put a tarp in the little tracks/channels and have a water pump going up to the top and make an awesome slip n' slide.

What kind of airflow and ventilation are you planning for the theater? I would be looking for a couple really sturdy 6-8 inch steel pipes that you could draw in fresh air and evacuate CO2 with a battery powered fan and use it as a theater/ pseudo tornado shelter/panic room.
