Restoring a BMW Isetta 300

Found this little cutie pie in a barn and she needed some lovin. I decided to go for a more modern cherry red and a white roof. Because it just felt right.

@@BroughBuilt Hi! No, it is not a 300 Isetta but bubble window 250 ccm, from 1955. I am 67 now, retired and waiting for better days to come regarding my obligations.It is a good idea to document it. If I ever get the spare time for pleasures, than I will restore it better than the first time and make the video.

A nice job, did you keep it? If yes, are you using it? Was this a Brighton built car? I like the new electric version, small light cars may once again have their day if the majority are to rely on battery power for their transportation. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gary! Yes I still have her. Haven't driven it for some time now but she is standing pretty in the garage 😊. I'm also a huge fan of battery power and look forward to seeing that part of automotive evolution.

Nice restoration, but I don't care for the interior upholstery, which I think is horrible. And the 'V' at the front is painted all wrong.

If he was attempting to make it a 100 percent correct car, you’re right the front and interior are wrong. But if he wanted to do it as he liked it, it’s spot on. That what’s nice about owning our own cars, we get to do them as we’d like.
