The yellow sticky residues are leftover flux from factory assembly, its so digusting in consoles from that era and around, incredible how gross it becames with the years, i always always clean up any console that i put my hands on from those leftovers. Great videos! You make a very in deep clean and restoration and very good modifications 😊❤

Thanks. I made the decals in PhotoShop and then printed them on waterslide paper.

do those waterslide decals peel off eventually? do you have any long term experience with them? Wondering if epoxy or clear coat should be applied on top to ensure they dont ever come off

also, my dad and I lost that spring somehow one time when I was a kid and we drove ourselves wild trying to find it LOL

Ideally you’d put a clear coat on top of the decals. Unfortunately, every “clear” coat I’ve tried has left a yellowish tone. On darker colors, this would be fine, but on pure white it looks really bad, so I’ve left the decals as they are. They should still last years.
