Well done. I know exactly what you are going through, I also know the rewards and the fantastic feeling you will have when you get to the the end of the restoration. Some twenty or so years ago I restored a Dunkirk little ship, which as an Admiralty Pinnace built 1914, triple skinned, carvel diagonally lapped with a third skin athwart. It's hard work and at times it felt insurmountable, but well worth the pain. Good luck and again well done.

Yes, cold, damp and occaisionaly very wet. All incentives to work up a sweat! Keep on it, you are making progress. Make your replacement wood "rib" first so that you can remove the old one and replace it right away. Be advised to use Copper nails and ROVE them on the inside. You will beed a helper on the outside for a few minutes when roving. Your doing good and IT only needs to PLEASE you! Those of us out here just want to watch what YOU do. Stay dry! Rich

Starting to look pretty good below decks. You should mark down roughly the hours you put in on the boat it would be interesting to know at the end of the project keep pushing on

About the small cracks you are filling. . . Wooden boats will always dry out and the wood shrink a little when out of the water. Most of those small cracks will close back up when the boat goes back into the water and the wood swells again. There is no need to fill every single small crack with epoxy, just worry about any larger ones. Remember that wood needs to 'breathe' a bit so leaving some areas exposed/unpainted will help moisture make its way out of the wood. Slow and steady wins the race, you will have a lovely little historical boat there when it is done.

I was going to make a similar comment. I am not sure these are issues. When in the water I suspect these would close up.

You should try contact Gemma & Simon from 'Ship Happens' before going near the oak rib. They;ve been down that road restoring Sarinda and know all the pitfalls and tricks. It could save you time and effort. Their boat is afloat; till the tide goes out and then its mud.😵💫 But you are making progress. If in doubt look back at your first video.

If you put a small drill through back of filler tube. it flows more smoothly through nozzle for tricky work.

It's feast and famine. Right now it's so hot I've had to get out from below deck to air off my family jewels 😅

You really need to force that Sikaflex into those gaps with a knife - HARD!. Just piping it into the crack isn't doing anything.
