Restoring An Antique Coffee Grinder

Restoration of a vintage Swedish coffee grinder made by TIX. I bought the grinder at an auction, it was in used condition but fully working. Not sure how old it is but the patent for this design is from 1907 and the TIX family was produced until around 1939.
After disassembly, I clean the parts in water and soap and then I use paint stripper on all the painted parts. There were a lot of small parts to clean and I wanted to reuse the old nails as well, so I decided to build a cheap and simple rotating tumbler. This is a great addition to my shop as it frees up a lot of my time.
The tumbler is made of two rolling pins from IKEA and a cordless drill, also from IKEA. I converted the drill to corded to be able to run the tumbler for longer periods. Any type of drill will work as long as it has a reliable speed controller. I used some plywood from my scrap bin and for the drive wheel, i used a rubber machine foot.
All bare metal parts were blued/heat-treated for rust protection and I used white mineral oil for the untreated wood inside the coffee grinder. This oil is approved for use on surfaces that come in contact with food.
The decal was printed on sticker paper and sprayed with a matte clear coat for protection. I made the sticker in Photoshop following reference images from Google.

What a pleasure to watch someone use a file properly and not an angle grinder in sight.

OH NO! You put the grinding disks in wrong. Look at them when you first pulled the assembly. They going from the ends towards the center. You have them grinding to one side.
