Edd takes on the task of fixing an Audi Quattro's worn hydraulic clutch system by installing a brand new clutch reservoir. He also shows us how to 'bleed' the car's brake fluid to rid of any old fluid that may be residing in the clutch's master cylinder.

1984 jeep Cherokee, blow the clutch slave cylinder, blow the clutch master cylinder, blow the slave cylinder, blow the slave cylinder, blow the master cylinder by now screaming at my auto dealer...WTF ????? ready to return as a lemon sitting in bar one day bitching about, friend foreign car mechanic asks me the brand name on the parts, me being relatively clueless says "Jeep?" my friend laughs, we go out to truck, pop hood, they Girling brand, made in UK, can't use DOT 3 brake fluid, MUST be DOT 5, silicone....the DOT 3, petroleum based breaks down the internal O-rings....went back to my dealer flipping out, telling them a guy in a bar had to tell me what was wrong, not the F*G DEALER...WTF was wrong with them....cost me over $500+ when it should have been fixed the first time right...tried to get my money back because of their incompetency, even talked to lawyer about suing, wasn't cost effective...but pissed me off bad, flushed system myself thoroughly and added DOT 5 and never had another problem

There is a much easier method of bleeding/flushing clutch and brake systems , just attach a vacuum fluid extractor to the bleed nipple with a piece of rubber hose, crack open the bleed nipple, ensuring that the reservoir dosent drain . Especially useful with abs systems.
