I just lost one of my cats earlier this week, she was 15, I was the first human to touch her when she was born and I was the last to hold her in life. We had to put her down Tuesday. Cancer. 😥Spend every minute with Merry that you can spare. It's plain to see she is a VERY special kitty.

Glad to hear you managed to sort out a lot of the mold issues. Indeed, having a well ventilated area where you work on those kinda things are super important. Sucks to hear you had to throw out some of your clothes and jackets tho cause of the mold, but the mancave is looking good! You briefly mentioned ice fishing; I wouldn't be opposed to seeing an ice fishing video. I used to go regular lake fishing with my dad, but it was a lotta work setting up the boat and whatnot. Asked my father to take me ice fishing numerous times, but he unfortunately never did. As for the air purifier: I bought my family a couple of them and we usually just keep them running 24/7. Keeps the air clean, especially when we had all those wildfires here in Alberta last year. ---------------------------- As always thanks for bringing us along George. Stay safe, be well~

Glad you are doing better. Mold can be a devastating thing. Every thing looks great. I’ve always heard. It’s best not to store your fix blade knives in their sheaths when they’re carbon or brass, that is long term storage. Because leather does attract moisture call to tarnish or rust. A lot of guys use blade wax or there is a spray that that you can get at renaissance fares to protect armor and chain mail and is also safe for knives. Another option is windlass rust blocker spray. It works great! Stay safe! 😊👍

After being in the environmental industry for over 25 years, it sounds like your professionals gave you good advice. Your reno is on the downhill slide now. As a professional who trained in mold in Texas, I’d continue to scrub the air with the air purifier & #1 key to clean air is ventilation. Get those fans up & running to keep air moving with the scrubbers running. Having the dryer in the man cave is not ideal but if you keep the air moving you should be ok. Lastly, I’d test the air again, up & downstairs to see if any cross contamination occurred. Very important to see if there is a pollutant pathway upstairs. I wish I was close to ya, I’d do this for free. I love the look of new man cave. Merry seems to like her chair as well. Listen to your body. If you continue to have respiratory issues, well, more cleaning may needed. But it sounds like you’re almost there. Sorry for the lengthy comment. Carry On Sir!!!

There was stuff in the air up there too. Not asbad. Hot air rises so there that. I went through and checked everywhere. I have purifiers and fans up there too. Be sade and stay well.

Well George you have done lots of work, looks like the professionals got you all squared away, as well as the difficult labor you had to do. I do not like wrenches thrown in to my gears and the stress it causes is not pleasant. You look to be in good nick and I will be praying for good health reports and a pervading peace during the process. The fly fishing there was much less crowded than here that is for sure. When I store something, empty box etc, I put a date on it so I can track how long I have had it, and it's frequency of use. Why do we accumulate so much stuff? My 91 year old mum says if it does not bring her joy she donates, tosses, sells it. Be well my friend.

George, I never store my knives in the sheath. I apply Renaissance Wax to each one and store the sheaths separately in a dry location. That wax can go on metal, wood, leather, etc.
