It looks great because you’re filming the car and that so it makes for a decent video. First of all I’m not a detailer, however I used to own a 318is 99 model Avus blue coupe. I used to remove all bump-strips and wash/degrease them on a bench covered with dust sheet and lined up best as I could to save on product. Once removed I could also clean behind the bump strips. It would give such a sharp clean looking finish once the strips were cleaned and lacquered and placed back on. Used to remove the tail lights / headlights for cleaning and the same for the reg plates. Once every 6 months was enough to keep her looking fantastic

So in your opinon, which ceramic trim coating is best for new trim and which is best for old, faded trim? I'm looking at Gtechniq C4, CarPro DLux, and Gyeon Trim Q2. I'm leaning toward Gyeon Trim Q2 for my brand new Tesla and Gtechniq C4 for my 270k mile Infiniti M35x. But maybe Gyeon for both? Thanks!

Fantastic work, I really need to do this to my windshield wiper / firewall vent area. You're got quite the creative editing technique with these videos. Are you filming all by yourself or do you have a helper to change the camera angle/focus and whatnot ? I feel like it can get really tedious with having to move the camera around all the time for the different angles while your hands are all greased up and whatnot.

Thanks for the video! Does overspray from the degreaser strip any protection from the paint? My e30 has a ceramic coating, and I'd rather not jeopardize it if possible.

Thank you Eamon! Ideally it won't effect the coating but if you want to be careful just spray degreaser on a towel first and scrub. Will minimize what hits the paint

Any recommendation on how to remove paint from black trim? A previous owner of my e30 painted the black trim to match the body paint. Normally I wouldn’t touch it, but he didn’t do it properly so the paint is chipping in some areas and overall just doesn’t look great. Is there a certain product or chemical I could use to strip the paint and not destroy the black trim underneath? Or do I just need to try to scrape it off if possible? Appreciate it!

I am actually not even sure of a spray product. I know chemical guys of all companies makes a few spray products for matte. But I can't think of any others off the top of my head

I'll chime in and say you should seriously considering having Paint Protection Film applied to your matte paint. I had a client with a Matte Silver AMG and when you get a scratch or blemish on that paint, there's not a lot anyone can do to correct.

Thanks Thiago! I have used it on rubber trims before. Depending on how faded they are I typically like to leave it on and let it cure for 24 hours. Only remove excess that finds its way on the paint or glass.

To be completely honest I have never used Super Clean. I am assuming it would yield a similar result at a similar dilution. This paint has zero protection on it currently so it didn't have a negative affect on anything. If it has protection I would typically go straight to IPA

@@auggie3936 For the price point, Super Clean is my go to APC. Works great and you can just change dilution rates as needed. Just the other day I had to detail some nasty, neglected wheels with a ton of brake dust build up. No acid based wheel cleaner necessary. Just used Super Clean straight up and it was amazing with breaking down the break dust! It’s a winner. 😁👍🏻
