Love it definitely a good way too do it and for whatever reason Porsche headlights are weird and really hard to get right so that speaks orders about this method for a bit more durable and long lasting protection you can use the spray max 2K high gloss clear coat rather than the wax but that’s expensive and requires removing the headlights and many coats so to see a pro doing this with something other than a hack fix is excellent Sidenote it’s not hard to use clear coat and just requires good prep if you just regular automotive clear coat for normal paint and buy some good product it’ll work even better, and it will be cheaper you could do that at your new shop I bet there is a lot of untapped money in doing that because a lot of headlight restorations get branded as scams for the short term effects.

No offense to this guy's hustle but man this is the wrong way to "restore" headlights. It would've taken 30 seconds per side to remove each headlight from the vehicle to avoid sanding the painted bumpers by accident since he didn't mask anything. You need to start with a much more aggressive sand paper (600-800 grit) to remove all of the yellowing/pitting and work your way up to 3000-4000 grit. Afterwards, seal the lights with a 2k primer/clear and they will look like new for years. The lights in your finished product still have a yellow tint and will look even worse in just a few weeks as the wax wears off.

You’re not wrong - these lights also had condensation on the inside so they were never going to get too clear

I’d have to agree with you this is a better method but Porsche lights are just weird I think that the factory puts thicker clearcoat on the lights from the factory which makes good restoration difficult although he’s better than most because a lot of people charge 50$ to just buff out the headlights and it’ll look good for maybe a week but if you put on a wax it will last at least 3 months
