Restoring Mighty Tonka Dump Truck - Vintage Restoration

I Finally got my hand on the legendary Mighty Tonka Dump Truck!
Fun fact: The iconic Tonka Mighty Dump Truck didn't come out until 1964.
It's estimated that as many as 15,000,000 Mighty Dump Trucks have been sold since. Lets see if I can rescue this one!

That's so cool. I had one of these as a kid, my dad was a car salesmen and brought it to the dealer once and they gave it a paint job in the shop, it's black instead of yellow now but you would think it came from the factory that way. I used to use it as a skateboard as a kid lol, they sure don't make stuff this strong anymore. I have a cement truck too. My parents were doing a cleanup in the shed and figured I'd rescue them and they're in my house now. Brings back memories!

Came here from Reddit, next time you paint yellow, use a white or even pink undercoat that will really help the yellow pop like these old trucks used too. Cool video, I liked the trick paint white wall on the wheels.

I remember the commercial for this truck. They pushed a real dump truck and a Mighty Tonka down a cliff. The Mighty Tonka survived and the kid started to play with it,
