Being in the machinist industry, watching you grind aluminum is by far the most stressful thing I've seen you do, ESPECIALLY since you mentioned you've already had an accident with the grinder. For everyone that doesn't know, the bits of aluminum will get caught in the grinding wheel and can explode, while spinning at about 3600rpm.

Ye, we once had a big wheel itself explode while only honing it to designated fit. The aluminium just gooped up the wheel and as soon as it made funny noises there was just a horrendous bang nad wheel shard flying everywhere. Turns out that some genius thought it would be a great idea to put a pallette full of steel cut-offs with a corner on the cooling liquid line while the operating machinist got caught in routine. Sometimes accidents happen because of reasons normal people would never expect. Side note to myself: No matter how long you've been doing a job the risk of routine is always there.

It's not the wick that's burning, it's the paraffin that the candle is made out of. ( Most modern day birthday candles are short and made out taper, non-toxic paraffin wax ) So when you touch it with your hand, it wont burn you, at least to a huge extent. Most will wet their hands before doing this.

8:00 next time sand it before you cut it off, this makes sanding alot easier since you can put the waste in the vise to hold it firmly as you Sand. Second tip is to always wax your blades with paraffin or candle wax when youre cutting aluminum.

I’m honestly just at the point of quarantine I’m going through the people I like on youtube and just watching everything they have. I did a thing however just has such high quality content, and it’s generally of a guy doing things in an entertaining way with mildly above average craftsmanship skill. It’s glorious all round.
