Glad to see that somebody restored not only original consoles but even old good bootleg chinese Dendy. It is very impotant part of our russian childhood memories. In 90-s in Russia we never heard about NES or Famicom, it was only Dendy or cheaper "bootleg bootleg" various chinese 8-bit consoles.

Dendy была самой популярной игровой консолью своего времени в регионе бывшего СССР и пользовалась известностью, примерно такой же, как у NES / Famicom в Северной Америке, Японии и Западной Европе. 2:05 I find it interesting that it appears that there is what looks like a cartridge PCB inside of the console that might be the multi cartridge the console boots up to? Much more interesting than the newer nes-on-a-chip clone consoles!

Well now thats interesting. The music for Mario sounded like it was running exceptionally slow, however the gameplay looked to be the correct speed... Strange! Great restoration as always though!

Definitely slow. Gameplay too. Mario's "slide" wasn't noticeable to my eyes. Probably a voltage thing?

@@grandmoffpuppeteer no. The Famiclones from China are made for PAL TV systems, that have a frequency of 50 Hz. The original Famicom from Japan uses NTSC (60 Hz), is a difference between TV color systems for region. You must use a CRT TV that can change the color system or a European TV.

While the og famicom wasn’t the most handy system,but it didn’t stop companies to make their own famiclones,sure those famiclones don’t deserve to be restored but seeing them getting restored is still amezing.

This console had a lot of memories around the world, many bought it in the 90s for its cheaper price compared to the original NES, so I restored it because it had beautiful memories for some people. But it does not compare with the original NES. Thanks for watching❤️

Nice video, excellent handling as always. Only one question.. It's my impression or the gameplay of SMB feels a little "slow" on this fami-clone? I remember had one console of this kind ("creation" model NTSC) and SMB always ran at normal speed.

It’s an NTSC rom on PAL hardware, that’s why it runs slower. The actual PAL optimised SMB has music that’s faster than the American version lol

Oh boi... this is the one i had. There was no way to disconnect gamepads, and for some reason Player 2 had no Start/Select buttons, so we had to drill holes in that plastic cover to mod it, otherwise it was impossible to play some multi games like Battletoads...

just a suggestion. That's a bad way to do retrobriting. It tends to leave terrible streaking marks all over the plastic. It's better to fill a tub with hot water and peroxide or liquid hair bleach and sit it out in the sun covered with plastic or inside with UV lights shining on it.

I grew with famiclones (Froggy, Argevision, CCE, NASA, Aito), and this video reached me in my childhoodness :) Nowadays i still have my dual cartridge NES from NASA, and my original Famicom. One question: is too much difficult find Famiclones in USA? Here in Latin America is not too much difficult, but is some expensive if you want one CIB (complete in box) One detail: If you encountered the sound and the game slow, is because the Famiclones made in China use the PAL system (original Famicom uses the NTSC-J). If you change the system in a tube TV, or use an european system TV, the game goes more fluid. PAL uses 50hz and NTSC uses 60hz.

I love watching your restoration videos, I love video games and it's a shame I can't find a console like this on ebay sale sites at this price. I would love to buy cheap video games like that to restore. It's a shame that here in Brazil these vintage video games are expensive and outside Brazil they are very cheap. I love 8-bit nintendo and would like to have in my collection a family computer like this, an 8-bit 60-pin nintendo and a 72-pin nintendo. In my current collection I have a Playstation 1, 2, nintendo wii, psp go and a 660 8-bit nintendo Chinese handheld video game. Success on your way, congratulations.
