I show you how to remove the yellowing from vintage plastics with Retr0bright method.
This time I restored the Original Xbox 360 Controller it is quite badly yellowed and dirty both inside and outside.
I feel the controller is very simple compared to the Playstation controller, even though the original controller is not quite as advanced as the DualShock I've restored on this channel. Just a few screws holding the case closed.

What was used in this video?
1- Hair color-lightening cream contains 9% Hydrogen peroxide
2- Sodium bicarbonate
3- OXI Action
4- Isopropyl Alcohol
5- Sunlight was used as a natural source of ultraviolet rays.
How to Remove Yellow Stains from Plastic
Whether they're from foods, sunlight, or chemical reactions, yellow stains often show up on plastic. There are many ways you can try to tackle these stains, such as soaking the plastic in bleach, rubbing alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide
Coat the plastic in hydrogen peroxide to fix discoloration. Hydrogen peroxide works well on plastics that have turned entirely yellow instead of in just one spot. Fill a plastic bag with enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the plastic. Stick the plastic in the bag of hydrogen peroxide and lay it out in direct sunlight. Wait 3-4 hours before rinsing it off with clean water.[5]
You can purchase hydrogen peroxide at a drugstore or big box store.
If you’re treating some sort of plastic mechanism, make sure you remove all the parts that aren’t plastic before putting them into the hydrogen peroxide.
You can also use an old toothbrush to scrub the hydrogen peroxide onto the plastic if desired

I wouldn't say it's retro.. I'd say the first xbox and PS2 is sure, but not the 360. Edit - Also the fact that it's very difficult to acquire the xbox series X and playstation 5 to the point where its pretty much impossible unless your willing to pay about £200/$275 over the RRP... it might aswell not have even been released and kind of leaves it out of the equation in my opinion.

It ain't retro, there are still games that were made for that console that are still widely played today for example Minecraft xbox 360 edition still has a big player base, some call of duties, hell even some b tier games like dead rising 2 ive played and people still join my lobbies like it really isn't retro at all. Retro is something that is considered I would say classic and the first of that generation like the og xbox or ps2 and under. Besides this videos controller seems like he purposefully dirtied it since the insides and joysticks seem pretty darn new and in good condition.

it's insane to think about the xbox 360 on it's way to be considered a "retro" console now lol. EDIT: xbox 360 was a GREAT console. i think ps3 was slightly better because of the exclusives but xbox 360 was near there. it's a way better console then the xbox one and series x. it's not about graphics. it's about the many good games on there and the friendships that have been made with xbox live. no toxic kids (most of the time) and not lgbtq supporters going in your face if you have an opinion differently then them. so it's sad to see ya'll childhood get washed away since in about 4-5 years it's gonna be considered vintage. Something is odd about the fact that the controller is extremely dirty, but in the battery section its perfectly white, and the springs arent even rusty. I still have 2 xbox 360 controllers, and neither are slightly dirty. I know that the battery section is covered, but if the outside looks like he used it to dig to the earths core, the battery section wouldn’t be pristine.

It’s really not that odd, the yellowing is likely caused by UV damage and inside the battery pack/internals wouldn’t be impacted. Plus the controllers, as we saw, are sealed very well, keeping most dirt/debris out

Franchement je suis pas d'accord. Le plus dur la dedans c'est les soudures... Et encore...quand t'as les bonnes pointes et l'absorbeur d'étain c'est easy. Des manettes comme ça j'en fait trois ou quatre en même temps. Il a même pas remplacé les sticks analogique qui sont détérioré. C'est vraiment le point faible de ces manette. Les sticks ne durent pas. Faut les remplacer par des sticks alu. Nan c'est pas ouf. La vidéo est bien tournée, mais c'est pas complet.

I was so happy because my father never allowed us to play video games and that was the first foray I've had with video games. I had an Xbox 360 for what seemed like forever and I loved playing the old Minecraft mini games like the one that was basically spleef with all the floating layers, the fighting one with all the fun and really big maps and spleef with shovels. I also remember when the aquatic update was the best thing. I wish we could play those old mini games again with those maps. There probably is a way but idk how many people would play it.

I can't belive it, that this controler is already very old. I repaired my 5 years old 360 controller already. Cable broken. But working today. I had birthday and bought the newest xbox controller in blue and it looks very modern. Can't belive it, that it looks it for me now very old.
