Keeping up with the "little projects" over time is why a 20 plus year old car can still look showroom fresh - my 50th Anniversary is the same way but I do have to huge advantage of a garage (which also keeps the chipmonks at bay and my wiring intact). Grweat project!

Painted my wipers and cowl about 2 years ago. Seeing I had to remove it to glue that plastic piece at the top of the cowl, that had detached in spots. I needed your video then Mark 😂 But I think I did a pretty good job for my first try. I also cleaned my 3 drivers side rain ducks, while the cowl was drying. Made it easier to see them. Thanks again for another great video neighbor😎

Good job, that is exactly how a professional detailer would handle it on his weekly used car lot visit , when prepping a car for sale. depending on the budget of course. for. me, I choose repetitive chemical treatments made specifically for restoring black plastic trim.

I did something to refresh mine recently. I took a heat gun to it. When heated it went back to a nice satin.

Question, not related to video. Are you still using the synchromesh tranny fluid ?

Yes sir. And a tube of liqui moly (for manual transmissions). After 4 years and 14k miles it still feels great.

Or u could just use silicone grease for like $4 and do the rest of the car 10 times over with the same bottle and their is no prep work
