Damn! I wish I would have seen this before my hearing. I didn't know I could submit a reply to the court in advance. I assumed I would just verbally respond at the hearing. Needless to say, I lost with the judge stating in her judgment that since my sister had previously struck me then It was likely there could be violence in the future. So she extended the protection order for another year. Then she immediately held a yard sale and sold a houseful of my belongings. Nice justice system we have....

Hello Raven. Sorry to hear that. If the full order has been granted (the one year order), then an appeal is usually one of the only options. What court did it happen in? If it is only the temporary (2 week order) then you have some other options.

fyi when i tried to download the restraining order playbook my computer blocked me with a red flag unsafe web site warning so you might want to investigate why that is, its leaving me to ponder if i should continue with your firm or look elsewhere.

My roommate is a subtenant he has been the worst roommate he's had 2 assaults one was a sex offense other was assault 2 on his girlfriend he moved in and her cat completely unauthorized kept telling me she's got a place in Tigard. He got arrested and after she came back and packed her belongings she left the door opened when I tried to see if she was still here I saw the room and omg it was stuffed full completely disgusting in the bathroom was the litter box full of feces a garbage can full of feces it looked like an episode of horders I was horrified. On top of that I found many of my personal belongings and my kids personal belongings in there things that were even in my attic. He's also been a nuisance to my neighbors with his broken down truck that finally got towed away because he wouldn't do anything with. He got another car that leaked transmission fluid all over the road poured cat litter on the mess never swept it up drove through it and made white tire tracks on how he turns around complete unacceptable and embarrassing eye sore for the neighbors that had actually have HOA dues they pay to keep their neighborhood nice . I've been asking him to leave because he could ever pay rent on time leaving me to scramble at the last minute to cover it. We don't have a rental agreement in writing Because he took the only copy so I couldn't even turn it into landlord so my land landlord and I just agreed he'd be my sub tenant and I'd be responsible. Which was fine because I wanted to keep my place that I had been in for 9 1\2 years but covid was making it a struggle and we are in a rental crises and wouldn't qualify to even be able to get into another place plus it's the house that let's my daughter continue going to her school district and she only has a few years left to graduate and it's house my son knows as home or his home base . I was ok with taking responsibility because of my sheer naivety that this man who had a decent paying job a vehicle and was a weekend dad thought would be a grate until he moved in quit his job I tried to help have my bf get him hired on he lasted 2 months possibly less. His truck broke down never fixed it. Never payed on time never gave me money when he said he'd have it. Made a big scene Infront of my neighbors and my son's little friends with woman crying 1 hysterically because he assaulted them. But now he's started making claims Im having ppl come after him and he'll call the police if he feels his life is in danger then said he's leaving by the 1st but he hasn't even started packing and his room is packed outside and in my shed that he is damaging especially the floor from moving it not on level ground. He's also made threats how this is his house insinuating he could take it from me when we got in an argument a huge blow out the week after he got out of jail. I started locking my side of the house up after that because he has his own personal entrance to the back gate but always kept the back door unlocked so he could have access to the kitchen or the stove and I leave his mail in the mail holder. He hadn't even used the stove since he moved his girlfriend in months prior because I furnished the bedroom with a mini fridge and microwave. To make the new roommate feel comfortable But I was kinda of scared of him because I'm a single mom alone barely making it and I realized just how vulnerable I was at that point. Since moritorium is up and he pulled the you can use my "last months rent again when it came time to pay for rent. Leaving me unexpectedly to to cover his half of rent after the 5th when it was already late. he said he'll be out by the first but hasn't even started packing and because because he's done this already before and didn't move out indicates he's not planning on being out at the end of the month. And by how unsanitary and filthy it is as of now it's going to take me weeks to make repairs and repaint which I'm Financially responsible for his damages which will set me back to not have any money fore Christmas and won't have it ready and habitable and ready for another more dependable stable roommate who doesn't have the challenges he does. I served the 3 day to quit notice and hes stating I'm acting like he owes me money which he doesn't and now I'm harassing him. And yesterday when I went to submit a request for a police report involving my address she stated recently on the 18th there 2as a police report and last night I seen someone i don't know in my driveway who knocked on my door and science he threatened me about harassment I think he's trying to serve a restraining order on me which would make me have to leave my home. With my child I don't have anywhere else I could go I straight up would be homeless which would make me lose my 8 year old child. It's like a serialistic nightmare with this guy. What do I do. I was told to get a restraining order on him and get him served first otherwise I have to leave. I never not once threatened him I'd have ppl come after him in anyway I may have lost my cool a ranted about him always paying late or how I had to spend a bunch of money and clean it myself because of his other crappy car leaving puddles of transmission and oil stains all along the sidewalk on the street in the neighborhood behind the house. This man violently assaulted 2 other women at my house and he's getting a restraining order on me so he can do God knows what most likely rob me blind and make me lose my home for my kids and I. What do I do? I'm so scared now.

Don’t count on this channel to give advice to someone who has actually been victimized. They’re here to *protect* the scum bags who are getting the protection orders/restraining orders filed against them. What a low-life job to have. Helping bad people and criminals manipulate the courts and bring “emotions” into it. (Lies). Good thing most judges can see through the bullshit and side with the petitioners. Either way, the scum bag lawyers get paid! And that’s all they care about.
