Health care facilities are SEVERLY understaffed most of the times. If a patient falls or harms self or others, guess who is responsible?

Restraints are illegal in the UK, nurses threaten restraints. If the patient is not cooperative, restraints, often used as punishment, nurses asked doctors to document restraints by telling doctors patient may self harm, restraints are torture like waterboarding, and should be illegal to the point of criminal

This is why we try restraint alternatives first!

@@thatnursingprof2661 problem is, most of the time alternatives are not exercised, both my wife and me were restraints as we lay unconscious, when a patient is unconscious that’s the easiest way to restrain, and most of the time it’s not because the patient is violent it’s because nurses are angry at the patient and use restraints as punishment

@@thatnursingprof2661 Problem is nurses just don’t care about patients well-being restraints are very harmful, if nurses feel threatened, just stay away, nurses will use restraints as punishment…

@@thatnursingprof2661 The Doctor should also explain to the family or power of attorney about retrait alternatives. The Doctor had my power of attorney sign a form to keep me in retraits was not explained about the restrsit alternatives.
