Results After 100 Harbinger Maps in Path of Exile 3.25

tldw; - Ran 50 maps with Obelisks, 50 without and tracked the results, mainly focusing on the instances of Fracturing Shards, Annulments, Exalts and Ancient Orbs. - (I may do a video on how i get my maps) the t17 map farm on sheet is my go to if you need it - Combined it with Beyond and high map effect to benefit from the huge number of monsters added to the map (i leveled from 95 to 98 in this time) - The number of shards and instances of fracturing shards was VERY close between the 2 methods - Obelisks was faster by a small margin due to less harbingers - Harbinger loot (shards) do not scale with quantity - I ran city square to try and cause the harbinger spawns to overlap resulting in a faster map time - The "ground loot" aka scarabs and currency accounted for more than the harbi currency in both tests due to the volume of monsters - No obelisk strategy dropped way more fracturing shards as the stacks from kings are twice as much as those from obelisks - 46 > 28 despite only dropping 1 more instance of fracturing shards - Div per hour with obelisk = 8.5 - Div per hour without obelisk = 11.83 - Both of these values assume no down time which is obviously unreasonable but serves more as a top end to my results. - I recommend running 8 mod city squares with the tree i shared and without the obelisk scarab for maximum loot - Happy blasting! Is jungle valley good? Is it good if i first clear the map without killing mobs so i get shrines for quantity or its just a waste of time?

im debating between deli orb + map so i can get all the explicits modifier from atlas tree or waste a few atlas tree points for deli instead of all explicit modifier and use 8mods maps instead. ive been making currency doing non 8mods + deli orbs but im wondering i i should use deli from atlas instead and go 8mods..

Think im about 1300-1500 harby maps full invested in and i find the prices of the regular harby scarab decicding if i use obelisk. It is very very similar loot running obelisk or without. I find it that if i use obelisk i get more ancient, exalt and anul shards and without a little more fracturing shard, but all togehter it is about the same value. i recommend checking the price of the harbinger scarab price when deciding if to run obelisk. Hope that helps anyone

also, i stopped going beyond and im running all shrines instead. I find it alot faster , comfterble and making up the missing loot with going more maps in the same time without beyond

We are over a month in at this point and harby is still pretty decent to farm. Annuls don't sell that well. But exalts and ancient orbs still move pretty quickly. I set my atlas up almost the same. Harby + beyond but I also took enough ritual to just guarantee 4 rituals for extra mobs and of course the occasional nameless ritual. I found the obelisk scarab to just feel bad. Even though you are dropping more shards on average from each map having them drop the fracturing shards instead of a boss harby feels so bad. It feels like you are getting half from your lucky drop.

Thanks for the video.. I tried it and it's fun strategy for me. Have you tried using scarab of lineage (40% more pack size)? Since shards scale with pack size, it should be good as well, but not sure if better than another harbinger scarab.

Fantastic video as always! I understand that Harbinger doesn't scale with any kind of quant, but does pack size affect the number of harbinger monsters, and thus the eventual number of shards?

The real problem with harbinger isn't the lack of currency per hour it's the currency per click. Unless they make shards get picked up automatically I'll never be running harbinger.

i did 100 each way, found higher div/hr with oblisks and more per map with the extra harby, they were withing 10% of eachother tho, i did notice more t17s without oblisks tho, and i did have an oblisk drop 4 frac shards which duped ofc so 8

Any thoughts on Scarab of awakening, giving imbued harbringer craft on map device??? Last league i had a blast using it for Harvest which it was really good for. Does it also add same value to harbringer or is this a scarab that's horrible to use for Harby's

Would be good for videos this league to track an approximate gold per map doing the strat. I found I was getting 20-25k gold doing harbingers so that kept me in it longer

Too many, I have seen none and I farmed it for 4 leagues and 1 of them was an older one where harbi was op asf

I farmed harbingers all league in ultimatum, sentinel, scourge, archnemesis and crucible. I have seen mirror shards 4 times. They are insanely rare.

Hey Milky, I've been running Harbingers for a few 100 maps as well this league, can you please tell me where you get the 14 harbingers from? I am "missing" the last 2, i count 9 from scarabs, 1 from tree, 2 from map device. Also, while i didn't make a spreadsheet (more of a go off of my gut kinda player) i tested the obelisk scarab for around 20 maps and the returns felt worse. Edit: Upon rereading my own comment, it sorta comes off as sarcastic, this was not my intention, i genuinely thought there was 14 harbies, and i was missing a mechanic.

I'm doing Harvest with only the doubling Scarab which costs ~13-16 chaos. I'm also using the 40% magic packsize and 40% influenced pack size scarabs and 10% extra maps per map mod scarab for some additional loot and map drops. Gets me around ~3k Harvest juice per map. Only 8 mods with all map effect and quant nodes of course.

I'm playing kinda similar strategy for several days. Was pretty good in terms of profit (nothing close to affliction, but scarabs payback great at t16), also leveled to 98. Today I was scammed when I was selling Fracturing orb, the usual "oops I forgot all currency (swaps 4 divs with 1 div). Next time I better pay taxes at the currency market 😂

It seems that now you can only focus on 1 league mechanic in your maps properly. The last time I played was before the scarab/ Sextant change but back then you could comfortably fit 2 or 3 mechanics Into a strategy. Is this intentional? It feels like a move jn the wrong direction

The most stupid thing what people can search about Poe is "best farming strategy on KZbin" really? How stupid is that?:D only after 50-300 views, prices for pieces that requires the strategy get way much expensive and mostly margin are so small that it became unreasonable to go for it. You just confirmed my observations. Harbinger at current 6c scarab price is just a wash and little to no profit. You spent 15 div to make 19 div from harbinger loot in 100 maps.There is no point in running this trashcan mechanic which is sad because I love this mechanic lol.
