I didn't know they had this! Thanks so much! Will be using this on our driveway. We can't afford to take it all out but the driveway is pockmarked and 20 years old. We had a section replaced by a contractor, who demoed it and then went AWOL. A second contractor "finished" it and guess what, trucks drove over it and cracked it in 3 places. So our "new" concrete is already broken. Guess we'll try this product and it could really help us. Thanks for the video!

Man he makes it look so easy. My results are very huge variations in color everywhere because each bucket pour dries so quick. I used all-crete and I had one minute each pour to spread it out before it dried. Followed mix ratios on bag for soupy and still dried less than 60 seconds. Used like 6 liters of water per bag.

I used to work at Home Depot on the merchandising team and one of their reps came into our store in Bettendorf, Iowa and he was super cool! I stayed after work for like 20 minutes talking to him about their products and became a huge advocate for their stuff. I've used it several times at my home and at my parents. I can attest that there employees are awesome and their product is spectacular! Thanks for another great video!

Keep in mind regarding existing cracks that you intend to cover with this or any cement product. The crack(s) is a indication of a underlying problem which caused the concrete to initially fail. I would advise to open up all visible cracks in a "V" shape with a diamond blade and bridge the new opening with a thin mesh and a quality 2 part anchoring epoxy. Cracks in concrete being overlaid without proper attention to the crack will most certainly transfer that crack to the top surface. Take the time and do it right the first time. The crack may still transfer, MAY, but you have placed the project into a much better structural position.

@@3ormorecharacterstimes2 Your are not going to stop a broken slab pieces from moving when the slab couldn't prevent it even when it was at its maximum strength. Veeing it out just makes for a larger area to crack and pop. Cleaning out, etching, neutralizing, using a slurry, and patching is about as good as you are going to get. The only way you MIGHT luck out is if it stops moving, but a lot of times it rocks a little with weight such as a vehicle because it is no longer bedded everywhere and what caused it to crack in the first place.
@garyhoney2013

@@jackt6112 I wholeheartedly agree on what you just said. There's no way you're going to stop an underlying problem or even spalling doesn't matter how many times you slice the driveway up.. I mean it's nice for a quick turnaround on the driveway especially if you're going to sell the home.

I followed your instructions and application tips expressly. Cleaned and etched the concrete with R.ustoleum products Applied the New Crete with a squeegee ,since I had only me to do the 1500 sq ft project ,I did it in 100 sq ft sections.One thing that I did that you do not mention in the video but is recommended by Rapid Set , and that is to seal the New Crete with an industrial type sealer. No Thompsons or other type sealer, I used ARMOR GUARD,it is a D.O.T approved sealer for roads and highways.The concrete was 30 years old, it looked like brand new when I was finished with everything. Now a year later not one are of flaking or peeling ,the winters in Northern Illinois can be rough and we get 95 plus summers days ,no flaking no peeling , impressive if you do the project correctly and follow instructions

Congrats on the sponsorship man, that's awesome!! I found your 1st video "How to make a Concrete Counter Top in 1 hour" at around 5 am this morning (5/15/20) on a KZbin rabbit hole (which started out with roofing videos lol). I watched 3 or 4 of your other videos after that. You make it look so easy and your videos are edited better than most vids that have crews editing them!! I think it's awesome you are from Plymouth, Michigan also. I live in Vassar, Michigan which is about an hour and a half north of you (Vassar is near Frankenmuth if that helps). I might be jumping the gun here and you might have this out already but how about a video on your background? How did you get involved in making things out of concrete and pallets? Do you have a construction background or just like working with your hands on home projects? Anyway, congrats again and keep up the good work!!

Wish I'd watched this video BEFORE I tried resurfacing the first section of my driveway! Ended up using way too much NewCrete because I didn't realize I should fill the deeper spallilng voids with CementAll and a trowel first-off. Also prevents having "standing water" when you saturate the concrete because there will be no holes per se. NewCrete ain't cheap either, and it is not easy for a newbie since it sets so fast. Really seems to like overcast skies and temps around 60 for working it with the squegee. Anyway, at least I have the next section(s) of my driveway to do right, thanks to Michael Builds!

You need to pressure wash that concrete until its near to its true color, and that takes time. Those stains that were left that dark will bleed through. I made my concrete look brand new by removing all those stains, and that was 27 years worth of grease and dirt on it. Get back to us in a year to see how product withstood extreme heat and cold weather and hard rain.

I watched this video at least a dozen times. I used this stuff on my concrete. I went thru 12 boxes. It took me the first four to figure out the correct consistency. It sets fast. I mean fast. You have to work quickly. I spent three days cleaning my concrete. Maybe overdone. But better safe than never. This guy is correct. Mask off what you don’t want this stuff to stick to. I had large cracks in my concrete and I used a grinder to clean out all the cracks. I also used the crack filler to fill all the cracks. It turned out pretty good. I do recommend this stuff. I did mine by myself. It would be best to have a helper. One side note. When you moisten the concrete before pouring this stuff down. Keep in mind that this stuff will lift the water off the concrete so use the water sparingly when pre wetting the surface.

Did you do your driveway with this product , how did it turn out?

I used to do concrete overlays but they get a bad rap most times because they usually start to crack and chip away. We used to add a mix of concrete glue, along with overlay mix, it held up way better and stronger than normal overlays
@billbradleymusic
@billbradleymusic Жыл бұрын
Well, that would be the proper mixture. Welcome to the club. Water shrinks, polymer doesn't.

So how does the mix ratio work when adding cement glue? I am doing a resurface job in a few days and wanted to make sure I have a good product.

Hey Mike love the videos! What do I do with bigger cracks? I have them filled with a self-leveling polymer. Also can you tint this type of product? Keep the vids coming, Thank you.
@MichaelBuilds
@MichaelBuilds 3 жыл бұрын
All you can do is avoid the polymer filled cracks. If you cover flexible material with ridged material, the ridged material will crack. Yes you can tint this product.

Hey Michael congratulations on the sponsorship. Do you happen to know what’s the coverage rate per box? I’m liking to do a 10x10 area.

Couple of questions: Can it be colored/tinted/dyed? Can I put it over stamped concrete, keeping the design? It looks really easy.
