Just bought one of these, going to do stage0 on it then rip around the place. After this false spring, with the next snow its driftin' time. I'm more into dual sport motorcycles, but with this now my kids can come with.

I feel that. Just picked up a Suzuki Katana for cheap. Bikes are a blast but much prefer the 400EX for taking my nephew around the yard. Can’t beat these Hondas.

Such good machines. Hondas usually last forever anyways.

Them are the stock Rims and tires so that is a relatively low Hour machine

I’m seriously thinking about building the same bike but from the frame up build…do you recommend it?
@backcountrybuildsАй бұрын
@@GavinElliott-hu9wp I’ve owned three of these machines and they’re an absolute blast. Not gonna lie, the 400exs are my all time favorite. Maybe more worth your time than a little 250.

I just picked up a 2006 Honda trx250ex for $400 not running was told needed a new top end but the engine looks clean inside there was no oil was able to see shiny metal. My first diagnosis was neutral light not coming on when turn key to on got a reverse light on though, then I saw that the neutral fuse box assembly was missing and hot wired together. I just ordered a new part for 50$ online I’m wondering if that is the only problem hopefully.

That’s awesome, man! Best of luck. Even if it does need more, you’re set. It’ll be worth it.

@@backcountrybuilds thanks 🙏 my part comes Friday. I also flipped an old 80$ phone for a predator engine go kart which I got running and traded for non running 90cc Baja atv which I then flipped for $800 but I’m more excited about this Honda project I just got my hands on. You live in Alaska?

Hi, from your video the carburetor had two rubber tubes 1. from the bottom of the carburetor. 2. on the side of the carburetor. Where do they connect? I understand that 2. the lower tube returns excess fuel to the fuel tank through the cap at the top? and 1. the tube connecting to the vacuum in front of the carburetor, or where?

Here’s a link to a labeled diagram, which should help. www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/atv/2004/trx250ex-a-sportrax-250ex/carburetor I no longer have the machine and somehow missed your comment! My apologies for getting back to you so late. Let me know if that diagram doesn’t get you anywhere and I’ll search through some KZbin videos and see if we can’t get you an answer. Thanks for watching and best of luck.
