Wow! I didn't know Rez was still performing as a band as late as 2008! Thanks for this upload! Wendy's rap at 11:08 (introducing 'Afrikaans') about how music can help bring about social change.....oh, yes. When I first spun my vinyl copy of the Awaiting Your Reply album in '79, the line about "we need Apartheid to keep the animal in his cell" was a total mystery to me. And I'm black. I knew LOADS about racism in THIS country, but had NO IDEA that forced, legal separation of the races was STILL GOING ON (at that point in time) on the African continent. If nothing else, Resurrection Band's music was an education to ME. (But I'm sure they educated more believers than just me.) In SO MANY ways, this group was way ahead of its time.

I listened to them since Awaiting your Reply. So probably 1980 ish. I was sad when they discontinued as a band
@jaxflfreebird11 ай бұрын
I was sad when I hear their third album Colours and that crappy 80's music they made with Light Records. The Star Song records were great, really great. And Mommy Doesn't Love Daddy Anymore has zero depth musically. It has zero atmosphere. I don't know how they achieved such a HOLLOW sound but they did. It's like they had a sound muffler on the band and we only got to hear half of the tones. The songs are much better on this record but the sound is abysmal. I don't know if it is the transition to digital on cd. I have the vinyl and it simply HAS to sound a little better.

@@1mantisco I also don't like their Democrat politics. They support Joe Biden and the whole bunch of liberal crime and disorder big city crap. Go live in Chicago. Glenn and Wendi have not seen anything but a massive increase in murder, crime. They sure didn't SAVE Chicago. They are what they are. Things have gotten a thousand times worse. They believe in a kind of socialism. They live those ideas and it's not working. I have LOVED these people, their music, their message, their Savior. I don't love their politics. They aren't overtly political but they're helping a lot of people who are not going to change. They want to be taken care of. That's how Democrats think. They want you dependent upon them. Take care of us Lord Biden.

11:20 God bless Glenn for staying bound to Wendy her all these years.. Paul had it right: it's better not to marry. He said it. I agree. If ur married, u gotta please ur wife; if ur single, all u gotta do is please the Lord. Ur attention is divided when ur married. Paul said it, not me... It's BETTER not to marry, trust me. Especially, these days, when women are brainwashed feminists n dont even know it. If u want kids, u should marry. Other than that, no way. It's a nightmare. It's a cage. They are just not worth it
@Durwood71 Жыл бұрын
Don't ignore the context of Paul's suggestion (and, yes, it's a suggestion not a command): he was writing at a time when the Christian church was facing persecution, and in those circumstances, yes, it probably is better for a single Christian to remain unmarried. But then consider what God said in Genesis, that it was not good for man to be alone, so it is also good to be married. You just have to consider your present circumstances and whether or not you are willing to accept a life of celibacy.

God says “ Today is the day of salvation “ .It is definitely not too late. The fact you asked the question means the Holy Spirit is lovingly calling you to make Jesus your God and Savior do not despair but receive Jesus into your heart and the Bible says he will come into your heart and live there for eternity and then hook up with a Bible believing fellowship and grow in grace and knowledge of your loving Savior and Lord. And remember you are dealing with people in the church who are far from perfect but are going on the same journey you are on to become more Christlike if that is what you choose to do Be patient with them like Christ is patient with us because believe me Christians do sin but God has forgiven them just like he’ll forgive you if you accept Him and once you’re in the family He will never put you out of the family because the Bible clearly states he says to us all who accept Him as Lord and Savior,” I will never leave or forsake you “I pray that you accept him and go in God‘s peace
