Nice, yo for a good ass vid if you are able to zoom in on shit with the flir still active so the objects are white hot, it looks a lot cooler than the other one, idk ground targets look shitty in this game just cause of the ground textures themselves, only reason I don’t fly helis anymore lol

Two things - you can't zoom in with VR without it making you go cross-eyed. Second, I don't know what you're referring to exactly but it sounds like you're describing the day mode vs the night mode. I use both in this video. I don't think ground targets look bad in this game at all. It's extraordinarily difficult to spot things from the air unless you already know where to look. FLIR is quite exaggerated in a lot of games and television, and the resolution of a lot of targeting pods is actually worse than what's presented in DCS. Are you watching the video in 4K? It makes things much more clear.

Is it in VR? If yes, can you share your settings and how much FPS you have? For me I can fly only desert maps on apache with no activity on it and have 45 stable fps with max settings only clouds on standard. On other maps it's just a nightmare with all of this shimmering and low fps I cant even handle 5 min of flying, only frustrations.

Yes I fly almost exclusively in VR. This is my second to last mission that I'm uploading that was filmed prior to dcs 2.9. My specs are available to view in the description. Prior to 2.9 I was averaging probably 45-60 fps depending on mission factors, but I was using openxr and rendering at 80% resolution. With 2.9, I use dlss and my fps is easily stable around 60 now. Looking forward to what the new gen of Intel cpus will do was well as the 5090 down the road.
