it should have tone control other than that a nice kitchen radio in the kitchen home i bought the wife a sangean radio am fm and almost runs day in day out and it doesnt have a tone control but beautiful sounding radio

Great review there Fred, might be interested in one of these fo the kitchen. How did you find the quality of the knobs, wete they firmly on their shafts or did they wobble around like they would break off ?

The knobs feel good. Esp the Vol which is damped. Good quality considering it about £30.

The SW and AM sound more like analogue tuning than the chaffing FM.

Hi Fred, Looks a good portable radio for the price. Quality looks better than my Morphy Richards portable. I would use it when out on day trips or camping. Having a normal batteries/mains is a must when mobile but I'd like a clock and alarm.

By the way the shortwave range is 6-18mhz. The DSP is supposed to prevent drift on shortwave but I would be in know if that actually works Fred?
