I have my clients wash their lashes after they wash their face bc facial cleansers have all sorts of ingredients that aren’t lash friendly 🥴 hopefully she comes back with better retention next time !

Also ask clients medications!!! Blood pressure, thyroid, anti depressant cause retention issue as well and I got a client that finished her accutane treatment 3 months ago didn’t tell me She was on it her her retention was bad until I asked and asked Certain medications such as thyroid medications can make your lashes oilier, dryer or more brittle. Dietary changes, pregnancy or menopause can also have an effect on your lashes

Hi, I have been watching your videos and I honestly learned a lot more here. I am a license Esthetician and learned lashes from beauty school but unfortunately we just have thought to do classic and given basic products including 2 tweezers. I am currently learning volume lash but I am having hard time with the tweezers. I was hoping that one of your next videos will be all about your tweezers. Which one is best for isolations and for making fans. Thank you!!

I’ve been lashing for a little over a month now and have seen a lot of great progress with my sets, but now Ive noticed I’m struggling with retention due to my placement. I feel like the hardest part for me is learning how to properly adjust the angle I’m lashing at. Sometimes a lash will attach beautifully but most of the time I’m sitting there for a good 2 minutes trying to get it placed correctly. I’m working with a 1-2 second dry time glue and make sure that I don’t dip until I’ve fully isolated a lash, but getting it on is a whole other story🙄 If you end up making a video on placement, would you be able to show us different angles of view when placing a lash? I’ve tried watching other videos but most seem to just verbally explain it or show it from a birds eye view rather than from the side- which I feel could be helpful. Sorry for the long comment, but I love your videos so much and they’ve been super helpful in my lash journey so far so I would love to see and hear your tips on placement sometime in the future!! hey i love your video on retention :) i’ve always learned that you need to prime ONLY if you notice that they’re oily otherwise, the primer will dehydrate their lashes too much and they’ll slip off when trying to apply an extension. sometimes i give them a lash bash & prime & the lashes slide off. i replace my glue drop every 25 mins, check my humidity and temp. what else could it be ? things like this are the kind of things that make me want to give up lol

Hey hun. Remember what works for me might not work for you. I live in Nevada and it's very dry here so I ha e low humidity and I have to adjust my room to make sure my glue is working it's best. I need to use a humidifier to add moisture in my room. And I keep my room temperature between 71-73. Anything lower or higher than that and my glue doesn't work. So try to see if that works for you. But again depending where you live you'll have to tweak your room to best match the glue your using. Let me know if that helps.

In your opinion, do you think a humidifier is necessary ? I’ve heard that as long as your room is cold and the AC is on, you’re good. But even then, I have girls whose lashes are not even lasting the 2 weeks 🥺 What should I do ?!

Yes it is. Glue bonds better when their is more moisture in the air. If you check your glue bottle or that packaging it'll tell you the humidity it works best in. If your room temperature and humidity is not matching the glue then you will have bonding issues. If you live in a dry climate then invest in a humidifier if you live somewhere with good humidity or room much then it's not necessary so always check your hygrometer to see where your room temperature and humidity is at. That should tell you if you need one or not.

About the primers..whenever I use the primer on clients..the lashes fall quickly..I’ve tried to put a primer on one eye to see what happens..and yes the eye with the primer makes lashes fall And I’ve tried different kinds 🤷🏻‍♀️I just don’t know..

Hi I just want to say this ... to help you you need just a little bit of the primer if the lashes are too wet with the primer the glue doesn't dry or cure as it needs to. Hopefully this helps

Make sure your primer doesn’t have any/too much alcohol in it!

Primers contain small amount of alcohol which are ideal for “sanitizing” the lashes so they can be squeaky clean for the lash application. ... However, this alcohol also dries up the lashes, which isn't the best condition for the extensions to bond.

Yeah for sure just because I'm doing my own thing and have tried out different brands doesn't mean that they're not good. So if you are currently using those then go for it I'm not saying nothing bad about them

It's not necessary but in my experience it does help. I don't think washing and priming is what's causing bad retention. There can be other causes for bad retention. But if you feel like you don't need to do both steps then do what works for you.

I've been using a couple different ones at the moment but I use a .05-1 sex dry time glue so if your a beginner I don't recommend to use just fast glues. Try using anything between 2-5 seconds. At the moment I've been using London Lash Royal Bond glue
