reTHAWed: The Definitive Mod for THPS Fans

Today we're looking at the definitive THPS experience, that brings together a fully modular modification for Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, that seeks to bring together the gameplay elements and content found in most of the different THPS games, and bring it into one singular title, similar to THUGPRO. But unlike THUGPRO, this mod receives additional, consistent updates by its team, 10K Rising, and they seek to consistently add more content that the fans want over time.
This mod includes various singleplayer elements found in the base game and expands upon them, while restoring the multiplayer functionality for THAW as well.
This is also my first edit made on DAVINKI Resolve so bear with me as the edits seem a bit flashier than normal.

are the enhancements optional? i currently have this problem with thugpro on airport where only the thug2 version is available but due a difference in the map from the original thps3 version it plays a little different and i wish there was an option for it to be the original version of the map instead.

Does Activision care about THPS? Of course not. They folded Vicarious Visions into Blizzard, and Toys for Bob became independent. Activision doesn't give a sliver of a damn about THPS, especially American Wasteland since they are not even selling it anymore.

Holy W, I haven't played the Tony Hawk series in years, I loved THUG Pro ages ago, but I feel like this mod is a serious rival to it, the ability to mix it up in any way you want is a massive selling point. The "skate sim" mode is definitely going to bring in those who love a challenge. The fact the team went to the effort to include the tiny things like changing the individual SFX, the physics from all the games like THPS2 to Project 8, classic modes and include all the OSTs shows this is a mod made FOR the fans, BY the fans of all types, from hardcore THPS players who want to give themselves a challenge, to people like me, who haven't played it in years and need to get re accustomed to the controls haha, which is not an easy thing to accomplish at all. I think once they start with the custom level ports, it'll be the greatest THPS mod ever made.

These games (especially THUG 1 and 2) have had a lasting impact on me and were some of the first games I remember playing. It's crazy how much I still think and talk about them all these years later. The Tony Hawk games are so important to me and I'm glad there are people out here who love them enough to do stuff like this. Thanks for making this video, really made my day!

That game has some of the worst levels in the series and the story had nothing to do with the first game. It's my least favorite of the golden era (THPS1 through American Wasteland imo) by far

I played with this mod a year or so ago and I only used it to play through the story mode, back then it was barebones but it was good enough to achieve what I wanted. Watching this video and seeing the insane amount of stuff that's been added was eye-opening and renewed my interest in the mod. I'm definitely going to check it out again.

This was a great video and not something I had heard about, so thank you! I am a pure THAW fan. I guess I am one of the weird ones who prefer the physics, movement, and aesthetic from American Wasteland (minus the boned ollie, front and back flip/roll controls, and bert slides) opposed to THUG2. Something about THUG2 in that regard always seemed weirdly different and I only ever played THUGPRO for a few hours here and there because of it. This seems to be right up my alley. On top of the multiplayer, the customization and QOL updates, this is an instant download for me. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!

I have to check this out. I grew up heavily on THAW, one of my favorite games of all time. There's just something magical about it to me. Expanded Classic Mode would be cool, I'd love to see THUG1 and THAW Story stages get goals in them, kinda like THUG2 did.

You can't, at this point the game is abandonware. I'd recommend checking archive.org , or joining the 10k Rising mod teams discord server and they post links for different copies in there.

Question. Does this fix controller support for pc and make it the same as like 360 or ps2 THAW? I tried a mod for the game a while back that gave it "controller support" but it sucked and didnt play the same as the consoles.

Yep! And the controls are completely adjustable in the settings menu ingame. More settings will be added down the line as well I'm pretty sure

I believe the install instructions mention that might happen. Just have your antivirus or windows defender ignore the application and you should be good. The mod is clean

Yupp! Just need to beat the story mode in this mod, or use cheats. All other characters from other games, including secret skaters from those are unlocked from the start tho.

I only have a laptop, XP gaming desktop and a steam deck. But I would love to try to Mod a game. Since I have 1+2, I'm going to try And mod that on the Steam Deck. It would be so nice if someone figured out how to change the male character only in the story mode but it is what it is. I know it's mainly because of the dubbing of the male character
