Yes! They are more adaptable than we give them credit - and it’s more about maintaining the moisture correctly given the media and overall potting setup.

Hi Dana. Your Sharry Baby looks like quite a strong plant so I’m guessing it should bounce back after the little bit of sunburn etc. I’ll be interested to see how it takes to the rock mixture and where you plan to grow it. Keep us updated on the progress and thanks for an interesting repot.

Yes, I’m anxiously awaiting how it will do! For now, I’m keeping it indoors under the lights. Everything will be coming in shortly, and I know there are no critters in this pot right now!

Hi Danna😊 Sad story about your orchid baby😵 I hope she bounces back and gives you lots of pretty flowers! Very interesting media you used. I only have phals in my collection so far, butI also use lava rock, charcoal, small amount of bark and Styrofoam (believe it or not😮😊) I really like the various items you used, especially the size. Makes for a very pretty substrate! Good luck w Starry Baby!😊😊

Will do on the updates! Fertilizing and flushing the same, but overall watering frequency will likely be different. Bark in a plastic pot is more moisture retentive than rock in a clay pot.

Thank you for the video, i have the same onc orchid my problem is the white film on the leaves. I grow mine indoor can you please tell me what is it.

Difficult to know without seeing a picture. It’s generally safe to spray with 3% hydrogen peroxide OR Neem oil. Spray in the AM and keep out of sun, especially with the Neem. It could be anything from mold/mildew to scale to residue from other insect activity…the list goes on. Thanks for watching.
