Moderated by The Wollstonecraft Project @ AAI’s Director Erika Bachiochi, this panel featured prominent authors discussing the state of feminism today and what it could be going forward:
Louise Perry is a journalist at the Daily Mail, and also writes regularly for the New Statesman, The Times, The Spectator, and UnHerd. She is also the director and co-founder of The Other Half, a non-partisan feminist think tank based in London. Her bestselling book, The Case Against the Sexual Revolution, was published in 2022.
Mary Harrington is a UK-based writer and contributing editor at UnHerd, where she has a weekly column. She also runs the Reactionary Feminist substack. Her forthcoming book, Feminism Against Progress, focuses on women’s rights in the biotech age.
Christine Emba writes about ideas for The Washington Post's Opinions section. She is the author of "Rethinking Sex: A Provocation." Before coming to The Post in 2015, Christine was the Hilton Kramer Fellow in Criticism at the New Criterion and a deputy editor at the Economist Intelligence Unit, focusing on technology and innovation.

I am grateful for this enlightening and brave conversation. Frankly, I am surprised it was allowed at an ivy school. Thank you for sharing it online.

Feminist versus anti-feminists. The truth lies most likely in something in between. Be progressive, be understanding, be fair. But going too far also leads to neglect also. Example, the failure of men's education and suicide rates. We can help each other we can learn from each other. Why does it always have to be antithetical?

there was no cooption. and it can be seen in silenced warnings of hannah arendt early on, the first excommunicated woman: through hivemindidioms, we have transformed all human social relationships into capitalist cost benefit analyses of emotional labor and privilege, creating virtue signalling societies that worship privileged exploiters. time to reap what we have sown
