I visited about 3 years ago. I think you are spot on and reflects my views as a newly retired 62 year old. Good information and balanced. Salut.

Just got back from PV/NV. Had a burger in PV Saturday night. Still feeling its effects if you comprende! Stayed in La Cruz for three nights. Great food, no issues. Go to The Ring for breakfast. Juan and Lupe are so nice. Salud.

Good report with useful information. Rent, and Restaurants very expensive all around the Vallarta area. Most ATMS charge 70 or 80 pesos. Santander was 30 not long ago. Have heard many reports of travelers getting food poisoning after visiting Sayulita.

Sayulita is known to have the sewage overflow into the streets and into the ocean. Unfortunately the infrastructure can't handle the influx of visitors and population growth. Sayulita would have been amazing 10+ years ago but for me it's gotten to commercial and expensive and the charm is slipping away.

That is a valid point - the infrastructure definitely has issues with the amount of visitors. The sewage issue is a point of contention between different levels of government. The federal government earlier this year did some tests that said it was unsafe. Following this, the local government did an extensive battery of tests that said it was fine. Who was right? I don't know. We didn't have any issues while (or after) swimming. The only person who had issues (stomach) was me (Noel) and I was in the water very little!

@@livingoverseasonadime5933 Look forward to following more of your travels. Did you guys get a chance to visit San Pancho or Punta Mita?

@@alohastateofmind3565 Never made it to Punta Mita (the bus was very irregular) but we hiked over to San Pancho, and liked it. It is a bit of a quieter vibe, and more family based. It was still quite expensive though - check out the video if you haven't already: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYDSiGtrhNeSjJY

Pretty much - we didn't really notice much in the way of homelessness though. There were some people camping on the beach down towards San Pancho - but a tent is a home, isn't it? Thanks for watching!

Almost all of the above but the homelessness, in PV and closer areas the percentage of people in street situation is so small and the few you get to meet won't really cause trouble. It's a very hipster/hippie/pothead place, you'll get to smell pot everywhere lol, I like the place a lot 😊

New to the channel, sorry if this has already been answered but what do you do for schooling for the little guy?

We do homeschooling. Sayulita has a couple of decent private schools though - we talked to some of the parents who had good things to say about them.
